All of those other GPUs in the 280x family would also do well if clocked well. If they're at stock clocks, they're missing a good 30%+ performance boost IMO from 800 mhz to 1100mhz in the case of the 7950.

Yea even HD7950 boost is only at 920MHz, it would gain another 5-10% going to 1000-1100MHz.

Anyone think Battlefront will be good in a year after the bugs and new stuff is released and they tweak it? Basically what happens with every Battlefield game?

I haven't run into hardly any bugs at all. Very polished. The problem is the lack of content, but they are doing a Free DLC followed by 4 paid DLCs which should help a good bit with that. If you don't have it now it might be worth getting a All DLC's included super pack a year from now, but, theres a chance no one will be playing it by then so it would be hard to find a match.

Well part of the free DLC is the Battle of Jakku, which is a direct tie in to the Star Wars The Force Awakens. It's part of the hype machine for the movie.

Fun to see R9 290 with 59 fps, HD7970Ghz/R9 280X with 46-47 fps vs. 36 fps on a 960, despite the 960 outselling R9 280/280X/HD7970Ghz and 290 combined I bet. Pure NV brand-name/perception marketing.

Ya and HD7990 or 280X CF maxes this game out at 1440P.

It's not gimped but Kepler is getting destroyed. Look at HD7970Ghz/R9 280X/7970/HD7950 vs. Titan/780/770/680/660Ti? What about R9 290X/980 vs. 780Ti?

The most impressive thing is how well this game is optimized overall. It looks better than any game in all of 2015, and possibly even better than Crysis 3 and yet runs very well without needing 980Ti for 1080P.

They left too much for the DLC, while leaving the main $60 game feeling too small/repetitive.

Interesting how GameStop said they were disappointed with Halo 5, AC Syndicate and SW:BF sales, but they aren't accounting that a lot of console and PC gamers are buying their games digitally now and the percentage of digital sales will only continue to grow.

As a result, “it’s very likely that an increase in digital sales for Star Wars helped contribute to the lower-than-expected physical sales of the title for GameStop.” He still expects Electronic Arts to sell 13 million copies of the game in the fiscal year that ends in March."

I still think $80 CDN + $40 DLC is BS for modern gaming. At least when Blizzard split Starcraft 2 into 3 parts, each of those games had solid single-player campaigns too.
