Finally own Swingline's response to Mike Judge's extremely popular film "Office Space"! This little beast is quite capable of handling high usage work, stapling up to 20 pages together! Or use it as a blunt object to beat on the misbehaving printer. It was built to last. In fact, Swingline is so protective of their special edition stapler, that they specify to use only S.F.®4 Premium Staples. Just like you wouldn't run a super car on regular unleaded; don't run this stapler on normal staples

Well, the one in the movie was created just for the movie.

The cheapest I've found it is here, at $17.50, but I don't know about the company selling it.

During the production of the movie Office Space the production designer Edward T. McAvoy had to solve a problem. How to make a stapler that was so special that the film's character Milton would absolutely not allow his stinking boss Bill Lumberg to steal it from him and keep it. How would one said production designer do so? Well, by giving Milton a fire engine red Swingline stapler of course! With this idea in head, he called up Swingline and asked if they made such a stapler. They unfortunately did not. McAvoy then asked: "Well, do you mind if I use your logo on the side of a stapler I'm going to paint red?". Swingline did not mind. So McAvoy took 4 staplers down to a local auto-body shop and told them to make them perfectly painted, just like you'd paint a car." Their handy work can be seen changing hands throughout the movie.

Yep, after the movie people started calling Swingline asking for the red stapler so Swingline decided to capitalize on the popularity and began painting one of their models red. OD was actually selling them at one time. They did not sell well and fell into the clearance bin where I picked up a couple when they sold for $4.

We used to carry these at officemax breifly, but they went discontinued. I think we had them at 19.99, but FronzenCPU knows their customers .

I bought that same model stapler as the collector's edition, just in gray, and then I spray painted it red and I use it in my office. Everyone loves it. This summer I think I'm going to buy the same model stapler that was actually in the movie and paint it red.

It's the same model as the one from Office Space just a newer model that's all, it looks the same for the most part.

I got mine from Sam's Club, it was mixed in with the regular staplers, there were 2-3 mixed in, just a couples days ago. I think I paid $9.99

Confirmed @ Sam's Club for $9.40 a piece! Includes 5000 staples and a staple remover. Don't rush out to start selling them on eBay though, it's already flooded with enough to not make it worth the effort for the little profit possible.

But if your looking for the same one that everyone else sells (although indeed, it's not the same one from the movie), Sam's Club is your best bet (provided you belong of course).
