switch on case

i'll be getting the rest of my computer parts tommorrow and we finally be able to start building. i've got it pretty much figured out except for one thing. On the back of the case there a switch (I think it has something to do with voltage) how do I know which one to pick and if i choose the wrong one is it going to fry my computer or something?

If its the switch I think you're talking about (red? slides back and forth? has 115V/230V on it?) then it does have to do with the voltage the power supply will use.
I THINK in Canada you guys use 115V AC. You want to set the switch to that setting. If you set it to 230V and you do have 115V, not to worry, your PC just won't come on. I don't know what would happen if the reverse were true, I've never had the opportunity to try it.

I'm a student, about two years ago, a fellow pulled this swich over on one of te machines...(in the netherlands we have 230 V)...
i never saw it working again...

We also use 230V here in the UK and I can tell you from personal experience that if you are on a 230V supply and try choosing 115V, its gonna at least blow out your power supply. Mine was completely knackered and a horrible smell was coming from most of the components.
