Moving my system from one case to another and running into some problems!
Edit: old case and Mobo are a prebuilt so maybe they used some weird proprietary connectors? Hope I can make this work somehow. 90% done!

First case was normal orientation new one is upside down Mobo. Old case had antennae screwed and taped to top of inside. New case doesn't have a spot for screwing them on and now they don't reach the top. Should I tape them to the bottom? Using Ethernet so I don't think it will matter too much.

Old case audio connector has 13 holes and Mobo has 13 pins. New case audio connector only has 9 pins. How do I connect it? The missing hole on the connectors doesn't seem to be in the same place either (see pics).

Old case power connector cable had one plug with 5 holes. New case has 4 plugs labeled: HD LED (2 holes), power sw (2 holes), power LED + (1 hole), power LED -(1 hole). Mobo has 5 pins at power switch connector. What do I connect where? (See pics)

Thanks so much!

Can you get a motherboard manual from your computer's manufacturer? Preferably one with pin descriptions?

Alternatively, can you find a model number on the motherboard? Maybe even next to a manufacturer name? It may not be the same as your computer's manufacturer.

Things went a bit wonky last night. Got it running once and noticed smoke. Turns out the USB 2 branch of my front panel USB cord was melting. I had the USB 3 portion in the old case spot for a front card reader.

Swapped that, then it would run but no signal to monitor. Took the GPU or and in, and things were working other than I get an error message from Dell telling me my power cord is defective (see pic). Guess they don't like me using another case.

Not sure if this is actually a problem or just an annoyance during startup. Maybe I can dismiss it permanently somehow?

Other option would be to use the old power switch cable and have it sticking out there back of the case or something. Wish I could splice the cords somehow but that would end badly I'm sure.

Thanks!

Melt means excessive Heat at some components.

Excessive heat means excessive current(Amperage) through the lines. In most cases once it is happened there is damage in other places on the motherboard that are Not visually apparent, some other component that are using the lines on the Mobo would not work, and many time it affects the PSU too.

I would give up on the Moherboard before some of your components like SSD/HD GPU etc will follow the "Act" too.
