SY-6VBA-133 with Celeron 633Mhz and Kingston 64MB PC100

Hi friend,

I got a problem for booting up my PC with the above hardware. Totally nothing display on screen. I m also using Abit Slocket support PPGA and coppermine. I set the voltage configuration to auto for the slocket.
Another thing is that I also put the celeron to my Abit BX6 II MB and I set the bios to 83Mhz X 7.5 but when it boot, it showed 789EB Mhz. Really need help here. Thanks !!

The early VIA Apollo Pro133's (Non-Pro133A's) didn't support above an 8.5X multiplier.

AGAIN: Regardless on what multiplier you set. This chip will run at 9.5X

ie 83mghz * 9.5 = 789 mghz.

Does your monitor go into stand-by?

Do you get any beeps?

Try holding the Insert key while booting.

Are you OC'ing when you don't get video? If so, I had the same experience on my SY-6VBA133 + Cel600Mhz. I read from another thread here that when some people reduced the 6VBA133's AGP aperture to 4MB, then video would come on. In my case, since I have a PCI video card, I just disabled AGP and video came on. My system is now stable @900Mhz, 1.8V. I'm using Asus slocket.

so what should I do still the MB doesn't support 9.5 multiplier ? Can I still use the chip on this MB regardless of this issue ? Thanks !
For the Abit BX6 II MB, although it don't has a 9.5 multiplier, can I ignore this issue and still keep on using this chip on this MB ? Will it burn my MB ? Thanks !

it doesn't matter if your motherboard doesn't support that muiltiplyer, the cjip is locked so it won't matter. are you overclocking, if so push up your voltage. if your trying ot get it to work at default speed, you need to leave the muiltiplyer alone and leave the fsb at 66 mhz, reset your bios might be a good idea
