Good news. He I'm rewatching the series on Amazon now and reading the book ~
I'm also streaming it from Amazon to drive up the watched count for them.Good news. He I'm rewatching the series on Amazon now and reading the book ~
And that's why I stopped watching the new BSG after a season or two.Sometimes the depressing and bleakness is beautiful though! It was one of my favorite aspects about the SciFi version of Battlestar Galactica, probably the last great hard science TV show before The Expanse.
IDK when I saw their mechanical FTL drive I immediately thought of the alien ship in Galaxy Quest.Sometimes the depressing and bleakness is beautiful though! The thing I noticed about last night's episode is that everything seemed to be rushed forward like the writers knew they didn't have a lot of time left to convey their story so they started leaving things out. Did you notice how the news chick is the same actress who played Larson on the Agatha King?

It seemed to me more like the division between books. Like, it's implied that they all got safely back to their respective homes (for some, anyhow), things have been stitched up a bit between Earth and Mars, the OPA/belt has a more established military... they even had a '3 months later!' or something on the screen at one point, when it was following that goofy belter dude.I double checked I hadn't accidently missed a few episodes. I think they jumped forward like half a book of content.

Basically, all the non-important stuff during that timeframe wasn't shown, the important bits were.
Yea it was a confusing episode as they just jumped ahead after never doing it really and none of the information about what happened was shown very well.I double checked I hadn't accidently missed a few episodes. I think they jumped forward like half a book of content.
It might be unrealistic to imagine space travel as anything else, in fact, shows like this are likely greatly downplaying the interminable boredom and bleakness that such endeavors will certainly entail. And that's why I stopped watching the new BSG after a season or two.
@Midwayman, I don't like how things are going today. I want to believe!
Boredom is one thing. It might be unrealistic to imagine space travel as anything else, in fact, shows like this are likely greatly downplaying the interminable boredom and bleakness that such endeavors will certainly entail.
Yeah, I admit that I am a die-hard Trek fan just for the fact that the narrative encompasses mysterious past events that changed our nature as humans, something that inexplicably made us better. The Expanse is a far grittier take on our near future, though perhaps it presages some pivotal event that will make us better as a race, more eventually Trek-like.Boredom is one thing.is another level of dark.Spacing a bunch of innocent people because their people attacked your friends with a bio weapon
