I dropped back to S3 and am binging it forward. I enjoyed it the first time around, I think I bailed at S4 and have to get caught up.

I am excited about this season. Only watched the first ep so far, may wait and binge them all.

Football has killed our TV show time, we are soooo behind on several shows. We simply dont watch anything else when football is on. Almost over though, and we will try to catch up.

the battle was a letdown.
the show led me to believe the mars fight was going to be ship to ship combat, not interplanetary guns.

lets see how badly they shoehorn everything into the final episode wrap up.
hopefully its not as bad as LOST or Game of Thrones final episode.

I liked the character interactions but no matter what they do there is no way the last episode can do the series justice. Somehow I think that Holden or a member of the crew will gain control over the nuke Marco collected and blow his ship up.

The Martian Admiral Sauvitare (sp?) from S4? specifically discusses how to hold the ring space and by extension all of the ring gates by holding the center of the ring with overlapping fields of fire from a single point.


He later defects from the MCRN after giving the Free Navy tons of Mars tech, makes a deal with the Free Navy, that they get the ring space but the MCRN defectors get the planetary system beyond one of the rings, but gets deleted going to Laconia (or wherever).

Basically the cost of capturing Medina station is essentially beyond the resources of the MCRN or the UN at this point.

I figure the series ends up with Marco either being killed before getting into Ring Space, or better still his whole fleet gets deleted trying to scramble into ring space, but the Solar system is basically at a standstill vs the Remnant of the Free Navy that holds the ring space as they cannot get passed those guns.

Drummer ends up being the defacto head of the OPA and Belter Nations.

Stuff is set-up to happen beyond the rings if the Laconia subplot indicates anything and sets up the conflict for the "final trilogy" of the series.

why not mass UN/Mars ship swarm fly by the ring at random speeds while firing lots and lots of missiles into the ring for the planetary guns?

- I suspect there would be some major issues with the Ring Space imposing a "speed limit" again and pulling everything back to the center, then wiping out the Sol system like it almost did in S3. The MCRN admiral specifically stated no using nukes during their attack run.

It felt like a throwaway line in S6, but I recall the UN commanders specifically made a reference to the rail guns being mounted on the sphere because it was the frame of reference for all "speed" in the ringspace, so the railgun rounds get to go their own speed while everyone else has to risk triggering the ring space's wrath.

why does the planetary guns in the ring have their own speed limit separate from missiles?

I was going back to the start and although I really like the show, there was a moment that should have ended all the cast and they just blew off the science. It was in the taking of the Donnager, when that railgun round went through the cabin they were in and decapitated the doctor. ( I figured that guy was a red shirt from the get-go )
This thing blew dinner plate sized holes at hypersonic velocity, and did not:
1) Frag everyone with the displaced materials.
2) discombobulate them with the shockwave of a hypersonic intrusion on a closed air space.
Come on man! That was a little too far IMO.

i expect Roci getting new armor will play a part in the series finale tomorrow.
(ie: Checkov's gun- Why say it if it isnt going to be used?)

also the finale is 75min long instead of the usual 50min.

1) wtf is with that bs firefight?

enemy is using armor piercing bullets... bravo and charlie teams got cut down.
but the stars of the show can take dozens of hits?!

ok, so if the stars were using Goliath armor, why werent the rest of the teams also wearing them?!

and if only Bobbi was wearing Goliath armor, then why wasnt the mechanic shredded to pieces by armor piercing bullets?!

2) also, what did Bobbi hit with her mini-missiles that took out ALL the super rail guns?

3) One last thing, Roci's new armor can withstand a hit from the super rail guns?!

Talk about an underwhelming final episode that lacks closure all over, wtf.

I feel like months from now we're going to find out Steve Strait had cancer or something, and that it played a role in making this series end. There should be a season 7 or a series of movies, I hope anyway.

ended Marco, but in a shitty, rushed way, (yet somehow letting Philip escape by abandoning his daddy) they (for now) brought all 3 groups together, belters, earthers, martians, but in a tenuous alliance that's doomed to fall apart...the remaining main players all somehow managed to survive, yet we now know that "Peaches" is dying, but she apparently hasn't told Amos (that will be fodder for at least one more episode, should they make more down the line)
