Agree with the sentiment, a very solid episode and looks to set a terrific pace for the story this season. Then again, I've felt like the pace throughout the whole series has always been top notch.

What we learn from this is in the future there are just as many assholes as there are now. Seriously I like this series but I thought we would of weaned out the assholes by then, like we have nice friendly dogs now. Guess that means we have to prevent the assholes from breeding.

To be fair, we bred the dogs that conformed to standards and only them, the others had to fend for themselves, or worse they cut.

If we do that with humans, we'd call that eugenics. And while that was once super popular (Hitler came along and killed the mood), it remains quite a taboo topic these days.

So, yup, we're likely screwed either way.

Re-watched S03E01 in anticipation of seeing the next installment, and it left me nearly as astounded as it did the first time around. Lots of action, mostly great acting, magnificent effects, fairly solid story arcs, for me this show delivers on all levels.

About the watch the second Episode. Long time waiting, but I really enjoy this show. Got a little weird, but still like it. Characters are great, Alex is funny, Naomi is hot. Others are good too.

Did I miss something with how Amos was able to breath when all it took was the hose being disconnected was enough to prevent that other guy from breathing?

He disconnected his hose at the suit which probably closed a valve as opposed to having it connected at the suit and disconnected from the air tap on the panel which left the suit valve open.

That's what I was going with, it probably wasn't a pressure valve so much as a connection-based valve system. Probably poor design, but the designer would say 'why would you rip the hose out of the wall'

These writers are really sharp and pay very close attention to every detail which is one of the things that I love about the show.

It's a fantastic show and the end of season 2 had me like

It's astonishing to think back to where it started at the beginning of season 1, to what is going on now.

Season 3 is excellent so far. It's just annoying that I'm now having to wait a week in between each episode.

Again I like it overall but it's kinda ironic that they have a mini commercial about the show extolling the virtue of science on the show, listing them like microgravity, bla, bla and bla and then 10 secs later its back to the show with rockets whistling through the vacuum of space.

Yeah, I kinda agree. Willing to bet they tried the whole long silence thing and decided that it just didn't work from an entertainment perspective.

What about episode 3 last night? I really dug Christians body guard under questioning on the Agatha King when he poked back at Flt. Adm. Ngwyen over the MMC being bad ass. I like how they got Bobby onto Holden's ship now with some pine tree name instead of being the Rosi. I look forward to seeing how this season progresses.

The only problem I have with this show is that it makes other contemporaneous science fiction shows look shitty by comparison.

Edit: Who doesn't want to twist Errinwright's neck? f'ing bastard.

The whole mars missile platform thing made no sense. That whole subplot was completely off.
Mars and Earth are at war and they're not used. Railrug cannon ball gets to the platforms in very little time. And it's a direct hit from that distance. And more ...
I see no purpose of that whole subplot to forward the story.

I think it served as a demonstration of how ruthless opportunists like Errenwright can get millions of people killed at the drop of a hat.

The platforms seemed like a nuclear deterrent to me, and the war so far was being fought away from the home planets in proxy fashion.

Just like we currently have today this is what they were for in case it ever got down to where each planet started to nuke each other.

It's one thing to fight the war in space with military targets and targeting them only really as they are doing so far for the most part but switching to civilian slaughter like that is not going to end well for mars as that was overkill.

The only thing I could guess was since they were surprised attacked like that and only the delay in the one railgun firing gave them time to shoot was they did not have time to switch to military targets only.

No, I wish I had of first. Have you is it good?
Anyone read the book series?

Yes
its very good,

Seasons 1-3 are mostly the first 2 books, the show pulls a lot from book 2 into season 1 because of how they are written. the 2nd half of this season (3) will pull from book 3 but it wont finish it unless its gonna be like 18 eps, at its current pace the show wont wrap up the IO bit till ep 6. which would finish out book 2 but i dont think 1/2 the season will finish out book 3 which has a TON of stuff in it

edit: based on episode titles on wikipedia Season 3 isn't really gonna touch book 3 (however it only lists 8 episodes), if it goes 13 like Season 2 then itill prob get though 1/2 of it unless they cut a ton out
