I'm just curious how analog cable TV will look on it as I can't quite afford HD TV yet...
I have had this TV for about 3-4 months now and the analog picture is poor. Dont get me wrong you can still watch it and it looks ok but where this thing really shines is with an HD channel. When people see it they look at an analog channel and ask me why the hell i would spend that amount of $$ for the TV when it looks like that. THen you put on a HD sporting event and they want to know where to buy one.
If i didnt have HD, i definatly wouldnt have this TV.
Does that go the same for something like digital cable/satellite (non-HD)? What about playing Xbox games on this thing?
Digital cable is slightly better than analog cable; typically less noise and crawl. It may have a "smoother" look and less graininess than analog, but the resolution will still be so-so.
XBOX on these panels rock. Just get a HDTV kit and set the dashboard to output everything from 480P/720P/1080i.
