Damascus is about to fall and the 15 year long civil war is reaching a new mile stone.
Syria was a doomed project since Sykes-Picot agreement between UK and France. The common divide and conquer strategy was implemented on sectorial division of 15% Alawites ruling the rest of the country, in the dictatorship of the Assad family.
Now the current plan is to eliminate all risks for Israel. Assad had Iran as the #1 supporter with Russia and this allowed Iran to project power in the region over Lebanon (Lebanon is like the extension of Syria logistically). So Assad is soon to be gone
The new power players are the HTS (supported by Israel & USA - Radical Sunni Fighters),the SNA (Supported by Turkiye), SDF/YPG (Kurds) Supported by Israel and USA.
After Assad is eliminated there will be a deeply divided country. Turkiye hosts around 6 million Syrians who fled after 2011. There will be a lot to discuss so I think the topic deserves one of its own
