System BSODs running 64-bit Windows

I've been trying to figure out why my system seemingly constantly and randomly BSODs. CPU temps are normal, I've switched RAM out (2 sticks at a time, even tried a friend's), formatted and reinstalled Windows. The only thing that I've found to help was installing 32-bit Windows instead of 64 bit. Windows 7 and Vista 64-bit installers both crash. Is there a BIOS setting that I'm missing, or is my CPU somehow damaged?

Core 2 Quad Q6600
Gigabyte GA-EP43-UD3L
6GB Crucial Ballistix DDR2 (2x1GB, 2x2GB)
Radeon HD 3870
1 300GB, 1 1TB HDD

Cliffs: 64-bit Win7\Vista crashes constantly, 32-bit works fine. WHY?!

Possibilities include a bad stick of ram, HDD going bad, driver issue and, PSU going bad.

Eliminate and consolidate. Run memtest, check drives with manuf's. utility if available, check for leftover sound or video drivers from previous upgrades. Check PSU with multi meter. Then, try an install with one stick of ram and only the C drive attached.

Ran Memtest, was fine. Even swapped RAM out with a friend's, still crashed. Hard drives are fine.
Drivers aren't an issue, this even happens trying to install. I've formatted many times though, installing the latest drivers each time.
Voltages are stable and right on.
Tried with 4, 2, and 1 stick of RAM, one or two hard drives, no help.

BIOS is the latest version on Gigabyte's website.

Like I said, 64-bit Windows crashes like crazy. 32-bit works just fine.

Is the machine part of a LAN?
Are there any external drives/peripherals?
How long did you run memtest for? Generally you need to run for several hours if not overnight.
If all else checks out, you seem to be left with the MB as the culprit.

The only thing left for you to do is swap out the cpu with your friend's computer.

Happens with\without USB devices plugged in.
Memtest ran overnight, along with a CPU torture test from UBCD.
Motherboard is a replacement for a DFI Blood Iron P35-T2RL which exhibited the same behavior.

The only thing left for you to do is swap out the cpu with your friend's computer.
I'm trying to avoid that if I can since he lives an hour away, but it's looking like my last option.

Forgot to mention that I have a 550W Seasonic PSU.

what about the cd/dvd drive attached? Have you tried a different dvd drive or usb instead of the one you have attached currently? From the sounds of it, it seems it is either mobo/cpu issue or dvd drive.

What tests have you ran on your hard drives to verify there isn't anything wrong with them?

Understood and I did read that but sometimes drivers can be different between 32bit and 64bit and it's possible that the drive running with 64bit could cause the BSOD issue.

Also MDE, when you were running 64bit, did you get all the Windows error logs so you could diagnosis and pinpoint the exact issue or at least have them to post on a microsoft help forum so someone might be able to debug them?

BIOS settings? Shot in the dark, but you might have something set to 32 instead of 64? I don't have that board so not sure of course.

It does sound a bit like the CPU though...

Have you tried googling the BSOD error code?
Have you looked at Event Viewer?

I didn't save any of the error codes, but I still have the drive with x64 installed, so I could try that.

The two error codes I've gotten today are

0xC0000005
0x0000001a

Now trying again with 2x1GB RAM...
