I have purchased a new processor (AMD Phenom 9850 Black Edition) and a new GPU (XFX Nvidia GTX 260) (and btw, its a BIG ASS CARD!!! I have a gigabyte 3D aurora casing and it barely managed to fit in there after alot of prying!!!) ... So back to the problem, I installed these parts myself and now, when I turn on my system, it does not boot. It stays on for 3-5 seconds and then switches off with 1 beep sound fading away as the system shuts off.
Have i installed the HSF wrongly?
Does it matter if the fastening clip is on the left or right of the processor???
Do i need to flash my bois for the new processor? ( My previous processor is the AMD
Athlon 3500+)
Now, I must inform everyone that i initially installed the HSF with the fastening clip on the side facing the front of the system but then remembered that the fan was installed with the clip facing the rear so i pulled it off and put it the other way. I noticed the gel below the HSF was a lttle smudged. It was only on for a minute in 1 direction before i changed directions.
I have uploaded pics here.

I have a 650W SilverStone PSU. I dont think the power is the problem. I swapped my RAM chips to the other ports as well.
All fans are running, CPU, Chassis and GPU
My mobo is Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe wireless edition, I am running 4 SATA HDD's, 2 DVD Combo drives. I have a Soundblaster X-Fi Soundcard and a pinnacle TV Tuner. Corsair XMS2 (2x1GB) Ram sticks.
XP Installed.
Please help me im freaking out rite now! ...
