System hangs Quite frequently!

Hi,

My system hangs quite frequently and it freezes for a couple of minutes.
Tried the below steps,

1.Formatted both hard disk and installed a fresh copy of Win7.
2.Tried scanning the entire system for threats,virus and bad sectors.Everything seems to be fine.
3.Cleaned the entire system using a blower
4.Also tried replacing the power and sata cables of the hard drives.

But still the problem persists.

My system was working fine until i got installed a H60 cooler.Any idea the problem may be due to the cooler?.I even checked the temps,it was fine and no overheating.

Please provide me other suggestions to resolve this issue!

My system Specs,
Intel I7-950
Asus Sabertooth x-58
Corsair xms 6GB RAM
Corsair GS800 PSU
I TB WD HDD
Corsair Force series 3 SSD 60 gb.
Ati radeon HD 5670 1 GB
Corsair H60 liquid cooler.

I presume the SSD is your OS drive. If so which SATA ports are you plugged into? If you are in the 6GB/S ports try plugging into the 3GB/S ones as they use the intel controller on that board, the marvell controller that controls the 6GB/S is not exactly known for being 100% fool proof.

Post back with results or let me know if you have already tried this.

I was going to say no but eh. Sometimes that can mess up an ssd

Initially,tried secure erasing the ssd and installed win7.Tried connecting to both Sata 3 and Sata 2 ports.The same problem persists.

Then I thought the problem was with the ssd,but the same problem repeated when i removed the ssd and installed win 7 in 1 TB WD HDD.


The same problem repeated with both hard drives.Then,the Hard drives must not be the problem.Any idea the problem might be in the motherboard?

Have you tried to check the temperature on the CPU? Use something like HWmonitor to monitor the temp (or in your bios); you could have an issue with contact between the processor and the new cooler. You could have the processor fan working improperly as well.

Temperature goes upto 45c at idle and 75 c at full load.Will try checking the cooler!

Ok just working through potential problems, does the problem still occur if you run from onboard graphics and take out the GPU?
