I have just built a new system, what happens is after I have been up and running for about 4 hours, the system just locks up for no reason. I updated my usb drivers thinking it might be a usb driver problem, but that didn't work. I am not overclocking, everything is set for default and still it locks up. I checked the cpu and case temp and they are ok. (cpu temp is a steady 42 C and Case temp is 35 C) Here are the specs of my system:
Asus K8V Deluxe mobo
AMD 64 cpu
Asus V9280 Video Card
1 gig ram
Sony DRU 510A DVD Burner
Maxtor 8 meg cache 120 gig HD 7200 rpm
Maxtor 40 gig HD 7200 rpm
Audigy 2 Platnium Sound Card
All is running on Windows XP Pro
Also, the system will reboot on it's own every once in awhile. I am at wits end here. I have reformatted the HD and reloaded windows and still I have this problem. Could this be a cpu or mobo problem? I will try to reformat and reload again just in case, any help here will be greatly appreciated.
