What do you guys think? Finally saved enough, had to wait a month or two.

Case: Antec P180 ;-)
PSU: Antec TP2 480W ATX 2.0 (was going to go with the Modstream but decided on this)
CPU: AMD 64 X2 3800+
MB: DFI Lan Party UT NForce4 Ultra-D
Heatsink: Zalman CNPS7000B-AlCu Silent CPU Cooling (part of the barebones package w/ monarch)
Memory: DDR400 2x512 OCZ (4001024PDC-K)
Video Card: MSI NX6600GT-TD128E Geforce 6600GT 128MB GDDR3 PCI Express
Optical: NEC ND-3540A 16X Dual Layer DVD±RW
Hard Drive: Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 10 250GB SATA 7200 RPM 16MB Cache

ditch the maxtor and get a seagate with 5 yr warranty looks good

the maxtor is great leave it it also has a 16 mb cache which means fast fast fast !

I think I need to know what you will be using this sytem for. Gaming? drop X2 and get a better video card. All office work? drop the video and get a better X2. A mix? then it looks good.

i would like to game a bit, but i don't need it to be spectacular. the geforce 6600gt seems like a good buy, not too expensive but decent production. much better than the fanless video card i have right now anyways

ill mostly be doing office work, lots of program running but probably nothing extremely intensive.
