System won't boot in new case

Ordered up an Enlight case (300 watt psu) from comp-u-plus in order to build a computer for my friend. Once I install all of the components (Abit BF6 mobo w/ PIII 800) it powers up but nothing appears on screen. I thought the mobo might be dead so I tried it in my computer case. I booted up perfectly. Then I figured it was the power supply so I moved everything back to the enlight case and tried my psu. Same result as earlier, nothing on screen. I can't figure this out at all. Is it possible in any way for a case to prevent a computer from booting???

Make sure there aren't any extra standoffs in the Enlight case. If any metal on the bottom of the mobo comes in contact with an extra standoff or the case, it could cause your problem.

Agree with the standoff comment. Another thing to check is ground issue. Perhaps the mb or power supply was using the case itself at some point as a common ground for the electronics. Just a thought.
