System won't boot in new case

Ordered up an Enlight case (300 watt psu) from comp-u-plus in order to build a computer for my friend. Once I install all of the components (Abit BF6 mobo w/ PIII 800) it powers up but nothing appears on screen. I thought the mobo might be dead so I tried it in my addtronics computer case. It booted up perfectly. Then I figured it was the power supply so I moved everything back to the enlight case and tried my psu. Same result as earlier, it powers up with nothing on screen. Pushing the reset button refreshes the monitor, but still nothing shows up on screen. I also tried replacing the processor, and got the same results. I can't figure this out at all. Is it possible in any way for a case to prevent a computer from booting??? Any advice would be appreciated.

Look carefully at the Enlight case and make sure that you don't have any extra standoffs or anything else that could be shorting out the motherboard.

Tried reseating the graphics card, if it isnt onboard VGA? I had to do that yesterday for a system I built then.

I'd try to boot up with the MB outside of the case but hooked up
to the case's PSU. If it boots then you know it's grounding out
on something in the case.......Greg

Can you tell by sound that it is going through the boot routine? Usually if there is a problem, the bios will send out beeps like morse code telling you what the problem is.

Also, remove EVERYTHING from the system but the hard drive, processor, ram, and video card. Disable any onboard sound and usb ports and boot in fail safe mode. Be sure the jumpers are set correctly on your hard drive and that the cable is connected with the red stripe on the same side as the power connector and that the #1 pin is matched on the motherboard. Then let me know if it wont boot.
