Many things to check; some simple and some not so simple. You said "PW Switch". Is that the only one of it's type? Some may be just PWR LED, etc. May be under a different "name". Also, try just "shorting" the two pins with a screwdriver blade for a second (bypassing the switch), to see if that works. In addition, make sure the CPU is inserted correctly along with the HSF being plugged into the MB in the correct spot. Next, make sure the power selection on the PS is set for 115 volt vs 230. Also check the positon of the on/off switch on the PS (sorry, had to ask). What MB, Power Supply and CPU is this? Are any of the fans or drives powering up at all? Take an extra second or two to go back over the connections with the board. Make sure only the basic items are plugged in; only the CPU w/HSF, the video card, RAM and floppy are plugged in to start.

not sure why you went straight to the power supply as the problem. what do you mean "won't turn on " ? does it post ? beep ? fans turn ? had you done anything just prior to it doing the dead cockroach imitation?
good luck

also try double checking all those silly LED headers etc... the other day (even when I did it looking at the manuals) I had my power-->case button connector off by 1 pin since it was next to the pc speaker. also, on the A7V333 I had power up problems where it would just make noise and not power up if I kept my old ricoh burner connected...so try that for the heck of it too, and the standard 'check connections' stuff.

This may be a long shot! Do you have melamine washers between your standoffs on the case and your motherboard (where you fasten the MBD to the case). If not try installing them, you may be grounding out the motherboard to the case. I have seen this a few times and this was the reason the computer would not boot.

Good Luck!
