T-bird 700 OC

Any hints on BIOS settings when OC T-bird 700?

I´d like to be able to hit at least 900 but so far I haven´t even been able to get it stable @ 850 so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated =D

If you're just using the multiplier and have the voltage maxed out and you still can't get 850, you may be out of luck. I know that some early TBird 700s (like some of the week 22s) are really poor overclockers. What temperatures are you getting?

My temps seem to be ok (I think) 29C - 30C idle. Last I added A case fan to my system and the temp dropped from 33-34C to 29 - 30C so I dont think thats the problem. How do I know when my
CPU whas produced?

and allso ... my mobo has not been rigged with the for the increasing the voltage over 1.85. So i´m thinking, could I simply bee out of juice coz those temps seem ok (btw I´m using a hsf from elanvital FSCUG3)

I guess the temps mean nothing without knowing what mobo and BIOS you have. Not familiar with the HSF you are using...

i have one of the older 650s on a kt7 and all it will do is 800 - luck of the draw -

Well, I am running my tbird 700 at 933 rigft now and it seems pretty damn stable. Running RC5 in the backround and I am at 45C.

I have my multiplier at 8.5, fsb at 107/35, voltage at 1.825, and some other setting in my KT7raid at 2 (I will look it up when I reboot). Cooled with a Taisol CGK742092 with a delta 30 CFM fan.

I'm trying for 1ghz, but I think that may be stretching it.

My mobo ... A7V rev 1,01 and Im usin BIOS 1,04D . Still, during the wekend I got up and running at 866 after a bit of tweaking( 8.5 * 102 ) Im still pushing though. Every time I went for any higher I lost graphics. Still, I could use any kind of advice
