I think that's a good deal for me...don't know about your guys.
cos after 9:00PM, most of my friends doesn't want to be bother...

p.s. but there is no night and weekend min included.

p.p.s. I try to call customer service if I can add night and weekend for extra $2.99. Apparently the center is flooded w/ calls ...after 1 min of wait..I hang up..

At&t, who, depending on where you live has better coverage and just launched a $39 for 900 anytime minutes with no N/W w/long distance (GSM only).

Also, in some places (or maybe just in my area) T-Mo is offering 3000 anytime minutes for either $45 or $49 a month

T-Mobile entered CA with the Get More Plus plan which was 1000 anytime minutes with free weekends for $39/month. This is what I got. Then when the promotion was over, they went to the 600 minutes with free weeknights. I didn't want to lose my 1000, so I never switched to the 600 plan, but I did recently add weeknights for $2.99 so I guess that would be the same deal as 1000 anytime + weeknight/end for $39+$2.99.

Their 3000 minute plan for $4X is usually for a certain region, like CA and AZ, whereas the 1000 I have is nationwide (perfect since I'm visiting NY for a week in July).

Hmm. I'm on an older ATT plan. $35 for 500 anytime, 500 mobile2mobile (good cuz lots of my friends still work there), unlimited night/weekend, no long distance, and no roaming when on the ATT network. Plus I get a National Account Discount for going thru my work, which brings it down to right about $30.

Good enough for me. I have yet to go over my anytime minute amount.

For the most part T-Mobile will give you better coverage than ATT GSM, maybe in a year or so once ATT has overlayed 850Mhz GSM the coverage will be better. Get the phone deals through Amazon or price match a T-Mob store to an Amazon deal

Cingular has a deal for 1000 anytime ROLLOVER minutes for $39.95 plus all the usual BS charges.
Up to 6/15 they were throwing in a Motorola V60T phone free after rebates.

It sure does look like the cell phone wars are heating up.

BTW, I get a letter from ATT wireless telling me they were going to start charging an aditional $1.75/mo because of their costs going forward where the government has passed the law where you can keep your cell number if you move between providers. This doesn't go into effect until NOVEMBER. Also some BULL about 911 service.

ALL I can say is SCREW AT&T...I'll be switching ASAP.

Those fees are bound to hit all the providers. Just a simple case of them passing the cost off to the customers...

I see Cinglular is charging the fee too.

I've also read there are ways to get out of your cell phone plan when they start adding fees.
I've also read they have the ability to change your plan midstream...because they write the contract that way.

Anyway, something needs to be done about regulating these companies.

...or start legislation to get rid of the crappy taxes. What, do you think ATT/Sprint/Nextel/Cingular is going to eat the fee?

I was hoping for enough of a competitive market where one or more of them would have to eat some fees. Getting there but not yet.

A price war would be nice too...

Lol!

Like others have said, other carriers will or already have started charging similar fees.

Here's a tip: Simply call your carrier and asked to have the fee removed AT&T will take it off.

Anybody else able to get the 1000 anytime minutes + $2.99 for the unlimited nights and weekends?

That sounds like a really sweet deal. An extra 400 minutes for $3.

AT&T is offering the same deal (1000 anytime minutes, possibly with nights and weekends - I forgot to ask) in So Cal for $40 a month. My girlfriend got this plan and a Nokia 3595 for -$50 after rebates and a trade-in.
