T-Mobile Customers - Call to see if you qualify for Loyalty Minutes (aka Bonus Minutes) -

Saw this over at FW - I called to see if I qualify, and I did! 50 extra whenever minutes every month for the next six months. Note: I've only had service with them for 9 months.....

----------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now T-Mobile is giving away "LOYALTY MINUTES" (bonus minutes) for those who have been customers with T-Mobile for a while. These minutes vary depending on the length of your stay with them. They are good for 6 months from the day they're added to your account. From the people I've asked, I've found these minutes tend to range from 15-50, but some people may receive more if they stayed for a longer time (I've only been with them over a year and I got 50). If you haven't received your loyalty minutes yet... don't worry. A T-Mobile CSR told me that they're adding them to users' accounts slowly but surely (since they have to figure out how many minutes each customer qualifies for). If you want your minutes right now, you can call customer service at: 1-800-937-8997, or use 611 from your cell phone.

You can also login to your account and under Plans & Services, you will see if they have already added the Loyalty Minutes to your account.

T-Mobile has been good but it looks like I'm going to switch to Verizon. My phone works everywhere except my house...

i've been with tmobile for 3 months now and my coverage in the dc metro area sucks! i argued for extra minutes due to the high volume of dropped calls, but i can't seem to stay on long enough with the CSR to resolve the situation without getting dropped!

My coverage in and around my house with T-Mo used to suck. I called a complaint and they fixed it within a week. Now I can make and recieve calls from within my house (which is no small feat considering my house has a stucco exterior --the old fashioned kind that is attached to a wire mesh, and a plaster interior).

badluck,

Thanks for this thread. I logged on to my account but saw nothing about loyalty minutes.

So I called 611 from my cell, a friendly and helpful CSR promptly answered. She said I should be getting a substantial amount of loyalty minutes but she doesn't know how many. I should receive something in the mail.

I guess it's time to start reading my bills? I have always just logged on to T-Mobile.com and just paid my bill.

Thank you again!

I've had t-mobile for about 6 months now and they are awesome. We're using them in the greater Atlanta area and they beat Cingular and Sprint handsdown!

I actually got a call from an 800 number yesterday. It was an automated voice from TMobile saying I now have 50 more anytime minutes for being a loyal customer.

I am also in the DC area, and will be switching to Verizon in 2 months when my contract expires. While outside, Tmobile has been pretty good but indoors sucks. I'm in my office with zero signal while my officemate with Verizon has full signal. It's the same thing in local malls, stores, etc.

The 600 minute (now 650) + Unlimited n/w is an awesome plan with lots of minutes but Verizon has the 400 min + 1000 mobile to mobile + unlimited n/w and better quality so I think I'll be fine with that.

T-Mobile is excellent in the S. Jersey area. I have 3000 anytime minutes, PLUS 500 Weekend, PLUS 500 T-Mobile to T-mobile minutes, PLUS 1MB data for $74.99 a month (I use all my minutes, too!).

IMO coverage and customer service are top-notch.

I called about the loyalty minutes and she said I should be getting a voicemail from the company soon.

I had tmobile for 2 years, the amount of minutes you get for the money is a good value. I too had problems using my phone indoors with them so I switched to nextel and haven't looked back since.

T-Mobile in NYC is pretty much the best around, especially for the dollar. In fact, it gives me the best reception out of all the cell companies in Staten Island, which is pretty much a dead zone with anyone else. As far as north of the city and north NJ, I've had no problems whatsoever. The only time I lost signal completely was up at Hunter mountain, I had a dead phone for the entire weekend.

OH, and I had a small problem with my signal inside my house, and when I complained to T-Mobile, they said they "increased the signal to my phone" which is pretty much crap, I'm guessing, but I'll be damned if it didn't get a full 5 bars, compared to the 2 I had before.

Unfortunately, they would not tell me the result of the tech request they sent out. All that I know is that I complained via their web support form, and had my wife do so too (we are on a family plan). They had me check the phone at the T-Mo store (nothing wrong with the phone) so they said they would put out a service technician request. When I asked how I would know what happens based on the request, I was told that that info is not available. However I do know that something happened since my phone reception has improved.

The customer rep at the T-Mo store told me that your request will get higher priority if you email and call seperately since it logs a seperate incident, but I did not have to do this.

Mebbe this is a pre-reaction to number portability in Nov and the possiblity that a lot of users WON'T be able to do it easily.
Either way, hot deal... I work next to a T-Mo/AT&T dealer (I'm a VZW & PCS dealer) in NY metro. Even he admits T-Mo Sony phones suck.

EDIT: FYI for those in North NJ/NYC metro... T-Mo SUCKS in Bergen County/Passaic/etc. VZW = da winnar. Even my PCS is better in the city than my friend's Samsung T-Mo. But both suck compared to my friend's VZW. And yes, my opinion is biased but even the T-Mo dealer outside me admits that he sells T-Mo to "cheap@$$es". I do hear good things about T-Mo from my friends in Chicago and West Coast though.
