T-mobile Early Termination

Have been away for a few months - left my phone with a friend.

Came back -checked the bill. Found some weird charges coming up:

Operational 911 Charge 0.52
Regulatory Programs Fee* 0.86 ???????

*Fee we collect and retain to help cover our costs related to funding and complying with government mandates, programs and obligations.

Normally I'm ok with paying the additional $ or so but I'll get pissed if I wasn't notified of this(my friend said he didn't receive any letter as well). I wanna close my account since I won't be around + the fact that I got conned. Talked to a rep and she mentioned that there was an early $200 termination fee since my account expires in Dec 2004.

Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.

just have someone take over the account and offer a monetary compensation less than 200 bucks.

If you can't accept $1>* hidden charges... pay the $200 instead.

911 fee is nothing unusual, all cell carriers have it. Don't know about the RP fee as my bill has been the same for a year...

someone on here tried to get out of it because they were moveing to a different country and they still wouldent waive teh fee

the notice came with your bill several months ago, how is it tmobiles fault your friend didin't see it?

It was a pink/white rectangular piece of paper, it even said that you have 30 days from the reciept of it to call up and complain

if you want to minimize the amount you pay, have they put your account on hold, you can do it for a max of three months and pay $10/month. I think it vounts towards your contract time
