with the $100 card, you are paying 10¢/minute for the first 1,000 minutes and for an additional batch of 2000 minutes.

I know of no such deal on the ... plan

You don't need to go to the store at all -- just call T-mobile support and tell them you want to convert to T-Mobile to Go. Then go buy a card for however many minutes you want. Remember though, if you buy less than $100, the minutes expire earlier than 1 year.

C'mon, Athena, that "...and 5¢ for an additional batch of 2000 minutes." quote is yours. What's the deal? C'mon, baby, give it up!

After you purchase the first $100, you earn double the minutes for each additional purchase. The next time you purchase a $100 card (1000 minutes) you get 2000 minutes for $100 (5¢/minute)

Staples is selling the basic phone for $20 (after rebate) this week. 100 bucks gets you 1000 minutes with a year's expiration and after that, you get twice as many minutes for the same amount. 20 + $100 = $10/month with 90+ minutes a month.

PS this works with ANY Tmobile GSM SiM phone...
I converted my brand new Nokia 6230 to this plan...

Gold Reward status adds 15% to your purchase, and not double minutes. The $100 card seems to give no bonus minutes at all, only the usual 1000 minutes.

Have you, or has anyone here, received 2000 minutes on a $100 card purchase?

Tmobile Rate Chart

"Refill card value, Whenever Minutes, Gold Rewards Whenever Minutes, Expiration
$10.00 30 50 30
$25.00 130 150 90
$50.00 400 460 90
$100.00 1000 1000 365

Gold Rewards
Once you've added $100.00 in refills to your account, you automatically become a Gold Rewards customer and get at least 15% more minutes with every refill and your minutes do not expire for one full year."

if you have a phone that works on T-Mobiles list of phones it supports, but say it was previously used with Cingular, can you just buy the new sim card and time, or do i have to buy a whole new phone?

p0wer0nIRC,
Your phone is locked to Cingular network.
You need to unlock it & acquire TMobile SIM or get a new TMobile phone instead.

Can anyone access any WAP site with their TMo ToGo ?
Mine said (Nokia 6010) that it is not supported.
I'm not willing to pay $1.49 for crappy wallpaper while I can download somewhere for free.
Also, did we get the xxxxxxxxxx@tmobile.net address too ?
I can't figure out how to access that.

You get the tmobile address. It's yournumber@tmomail.net .

WAP is destroyed on Tmobile to go. You can only use CNN and a handful of others. So expect to get that not supported message a lot. Cingular is the only prepaid provider that lets you have full and unrestricted WAP.

my fav site also has a coupon for refills.

Looks like a plug. No coupons to be found via a standard T-Mobile/Tmobile search only other promos. Red Alert! :|

Don't worry, it's not the first time he's done it. Do a search on the posts he's made.

Looks like a good deal. I'd jump on it, but I just got rid of my cellphone and I'm liking the freedom of not having to keep up with it and not having it ring all the time. This would be great if you could have a caller id blocker added to the phone so people wouldn't call you back.

go to staples, pm the 6010 w/ target or walmart, should be 39.99, then goto tmobilerebates.com and get $30 mir (end today), then

go here activate your phone and get $10 free refill card. you get a michigan area code, but you can change or port by calling tmobile.

TEXT

i live a mile from this shop, activate many times for friends and family. pretty fast service. if you call them up, they can activate the phone and give you the $10 pin at the same time.
