Hmm.. So Value plan = Uncarrier Plan = BYOD/no subsidized phones? And post-paid has roaming while pre-paid doesn't. Post-paid also has family plan but pre-paid doesn't. Am I correct?

Oh and is it true that you can flash back the Nexus 4 to older Android version for LTE..? Can anyone verify? Preferably on T-Mobile.

Haven't used it myself so YMMV.

T-Mobile sucks. Horrible network and almost Comcast-bad customer service. If you do use them just hope you never have a problem with them.

You're in fvcking crack. Tmo has excellent customer service and a better network that AT&T and Verizon combined in NYC. Hell, my tmo gs3 blows the shit out of my VZW ip5 on lte by 2 to 1 speed wise.

Heh.

It's too bad there's no way to force a PRL update on Verizon LTE devices. LTE reception largely crapped out on my Gnex last month, only to come back when I updated the baseband yesterday.

Value plans = uncarrier plans.

This whole thing got even more confusing.
This is a picture of UNcarrier Classic plan and pricing which will only available at places like Wal-Mart, Best-Buy, and non-corporate owned T-Mobile stores?

So what plans will be available at T-Mobile's corporate owned stores and their official website then?
And is there such a thing as an UNcarrier value plan? And if so, what is it?

Is there some kind of picture/GIF image that shows the prices and plans of T-Mobile's corporate owned stores vs. what the pricing will be at BestBuy and Wal-Mart?

They went live today... on the surface, not terribad, but not great. But...

$100/month for 4 lines of unlimited talk/text/500MB 4g/unlimited 2g (throttled) data with no contract?

That's one HELL of a family plan.

2GB per line, I suppose?

500MB per line "4g", unlimited throttled, as per T-Mo's website.

Includes up to 500 MB of high-speed data on T-Mobile's network for no extra charge. Smartphone Mobile HotSpot service included. Speeds slowed up to 2G speeds after 500 MB.

Add $10/month/phone to add 2GB per phone (so you get 2.5GB "4g", unlimited 2g).

And yes, you can "mix'n'match" (Line 1 has the additional 2GB, lines 2, 3, etc, do not).

you can also add/remove data at will. i add data for my mom/dad when they're in the country, disable it when they leave.

I agree, that is great deal for 4 lines. For 3 to 5 lines, I don't think it can be beat. For $110 a month you can have 5 phones with unlimited talk, text, and 500mb 4G data each. That's great deal for families.

They've announced the iPhone 5 at $99 down payment and $20 a month. Very nice.

And it looks like the TMo version will do HSPA+ on AWS, along with LTE on AWS and HSPA on PCS. Very nice!

EDIT: iPhone 5, SGS4, HTC One, and BB Z10 all for $100 down payment. Your move AT&T, VZW and Sprint.

I really expected their pricing to be just kind of outrageous. I was thinking $300 down payments or so for devices that cost $200 on other carriers. They're really going for the throat here.

According to TMo's facebook page, a iOS update will be released that should enable AWS on existing iPhone 5 A1428 models. That is even more fantastic news!

Edit: Nope! Apple is releasing a new version of the A1428 that will support AWS HSPA+, PCS HSPA, AWS LTE and 700mhz LTE and existing devices can not be upgraded with a software patch. That is so disappointing.

This makes me want to consider a family plan with my mom and sister (dad has a company paid phone) even though I live nowhere near them.

Let's see if iPhone users crush T-Mo's network speeds now...

Why would they? I'm pretty sure it's been repeatedly shown that Android phones use more data than iPhones on average because:
a) there's no individual file limit on Android phones (iPhone - 50MB for official apps, also video apps require graceful degradation of quality).
b) you can download files from the web on an Android phone
c) any Android app can run in the background syncing data if it wants to.
