Thank God Chyna wasn't cast in this role...

I can't stand her. Anyone that's ever heard her in an actual interview knows how incredibly obnoxious and self-absorbed she is. And I know the Terminators historically do not have many lines but could you imagine that voice? Good God, she could kill with that alone. Not to mention she's really not all that attractive without a marketing machine behind her like she's had in the past telling all the puberty boys that she's actually not a manbeast. Her beauty wouldn''t add/detract from the plot, but thinking from the studio's perspective, an attractive female presence will of course bring more males into the theatre.

And as for casting a female as a terminator, my hopes of another T2-style repeat have been dashed. If they have to cast some model chic to attract a bigger audience, what does that tell you about the plot?

Ed Norton might not be a good choice, imo. From the 2 Terminator movies, John Conner is supposed to be a tough and serious leader.
I don't think Norton can pull it off (He is a good actor, but not for the role of John.)
