TA - Game of Unreal Tournament anyone?

Going to play the old UT ,much prefer the weapons ,anyone going to join me in a UTDM match? in thegamebox?

Ok I'm running my own UT server from time to time.
Bear in mind this is running on my main rig so it'll only be on when I or my g/f are playing UT (yeah I got her hooked toohehe)
Btw my g/f is pussycat aka Catpuss

IP has changed again!
IP for my UT server is 80.6.44.24
Port is default on 7777

Max connections is 4 (listening server,1 on LAN,& 2 from the net) , I cant set it any higher cos the ping goes through the roof about 2.5 secs!) .
Max client rate is 8000 bytes/sec

Most people will need to download 'olweapons' from me as I have the Old Skool mod on my UT.
I now have the file hosted on my website & zipped up its about 650k,get OLweapons only here & save my servers bandwidth.

Once you've got it ,copy it into UT/system folder ,save your previous version 1st just incase you need it at a latter point(unlikely)

AGP GeForce 256, 32MB, in an AMD Duron 650@850mhz, 256M RAM, 20G 7200 RPM HD PC.

I paid $15.00 for it used at a computer show. MrFluffy's sharp eyed found it among a bunch of used video cards. I works SO MUCH better than the ATI Rage 128 it replaced.

Kinda sucks in UT2003 though. FPS was like 12 or something during the benchmarks.

Both you guys wiped me out, it's fun though, have no idea why I stink so bad, like I told Mark, the thing moves well as far as mouse and keyboard keys but shots don't do a thing barely even against bots, most of the time they even get me with no problem. Mark said it may have something to do with my ping of 999. I have a fast DSL connection, there is no jitters in the game or video.

Yeah the ping looked kinda bad yesterday - I don't know what that was all about though. Normally Mech and/or Engineer are in the 170-190 area but yesterday it was double that plus. Must have been some routing issues somewhere.

I only briefly saw your ping rate when you popped in & then dissappeared,999 maybe a default figure when the game hasn't figured out the actual ping rate................unless it went higher than 999! ,I didn't see your ping rate when you were actually playing.
Hit F1 & have a quick game to see what it is 'in play'.Btw if you're still getting 999 then that would explain it ,I find it gets difficult playing if the ping goes near 300.

How about a game in 10-20 mins?

What resolution are you playing at?
The_One has a Geforce 256 too ,with DDR RAM ,I don't recall him saying he had any problems with UT2003 demo.
Does your Geforce have SDR or DDR RAM?

Yeah, I know.. I couldnt get them to stop launching UT2k3, so I just unlinked them and never edited the rest of the page.
