TA - Game of Unreal Tournament anyone?

I found that if I typed the name of the Unreal Tournament server in, it would work. I was in for 1 game yesterday at the UTINSTAGIB.THEGAMEBOX.ORG server, playing someone named $a$$y.

I haven't tried the others yet, but for those who have UT and want to set up a game, this should work, as the .org servers were for TeAm private use, IIRC.

Fobot is that your name on AA. I usually play the mountain map after the bridge in the morning hours. Maybe I'll play some bridge . It's been awhile. That used to be my favorite map.

That worked for me too ,what I can't figure out though is when I add it to my 'favourites' in UT I can't start a game from their ,also not getting a ping rate (shows 999) but it shows whose currently playing!
What ports are the servers on?

I left it without a password so that anyone could join ,atm very few people are joining in ,I'll get 1 or 2.Like last night we only had 1 person (Mike) join in.

As for the IP here ,I guess its the 1 for the cable modem you want? ,........err is that a safe thing to do??

nm found myself listed on the public serv & pulled the IP from there
Bear in mind this is running on my main rig so it'll only be on when I or my g/f are playing UT (yeah I got her hookedhehe)

Port is default on 7777

My g/f is playing there atm (Cat) go easy on her she's a newbie

Yes, that was fun & challenging. I thought for a while that you must have BoomDeath or something, since I would sometimes die after killing another player, but I didn't see any Redeemer-sized explosions, so I wasn't sure what was going on. Sniping you and cat from the rooftop was rather fun... I sneaked into a dark corner by a tower and waited for the telltale sound of a translocator nearby, then crept out in noiseless mode and sniped the sniper

LEGACY was clearly a seasoned player... he/she pulled an interesting trick on Galleon and not only got up to the crow's nest, but out onto a spar. Sitting duck, once spotted...

Had a quick few games earlier ,LEGACY joined in at 1 point ,unfortunatly UT just bombed out :| ,& when I restarted he didn't come back ,even more annoying because I was beating him at the time!.Previous game he won though

I couldn't post here earlier about it cos I'd accidently blocked the DNS server in ZA ,UT still worked though.

I've also just started to have problems of random reboots in Win2k & then not being able to get back into it!.
I've down clocked it for now.

Seems it was the x11.5 multiplier was playing up ,dunno yet if it was just too fast for it or whether its a bad connection.
Is rocky steady again though on 11x152MHz
