I would like to know if anyone here has a trial key for Tabula Rasa. I would like to give this game a shot but it appears that only active players can give out a trial key.

Ugh man..its horrible. Its cool for like 30 minutes but it gets REAL repetititve..but by all means try it out.

Well it doesn't hurt trying it out. If it sucks then it sucks and thats it. I'm just looking for something different, played Wow for 2 years, Guild Wars in there too. I don't know what other good MMOs are there. I gave LOTR online a try and didn't really like it, I think is because I'm tired of the whole "fantasy" realm.

there aren't any. WoW was the last good one and even that got old after awhile. I'm hoping for AoC.

What is sad is like many MMO games, Vanguard comes instantly to mind, the game had a lot of potential, but due to things like budgets and such they get released well before they are ready and what we get is a paid beta.

Anyway, back on topic. I no longer have my trial key that they gave me for doing closed beta, gave it to my roommate a few weeks ago for him to try out and to see how the game has fared since release. Its pretty much still a paid beta, but if you play it for like 30 min at a time it could be fun. It just gets extreamly repetitive, even more so than WoW.

I was actually in the same boat as you a few weeks ago... got sick of WoW after almost 3 years, played the rest and was looking for something new. Honestly like pontifex said there really isn't anything else out there right now. My suggestion would be to maybe kick MMOs for a bit and try something else, I recently got Command & Conquer 3 as well as the First Decade pack and have been loving it, and wait till this summer when we see the first of the new MMOs come out. We have Age of Conan in May if your looking for a nice PVE/PVP game, and there is also Warhammer if your looking for a lot more PVP.

The game has no trial. Because they know people won't buy the game if they try it first. I certainly wouldn't have.

I guess I'll have to just wait a while before i can get into MMOs again. Oh well I guess I can survive, I just really need a break from FPS games which is what I have been playing since I quit WoW, and RTS games I never really like playing them by myself or people I don't know, I always like playing them with friends for some reason. Maybe I just need to be less picky

Agman. I'm in the same boat..WoW is just too good to be honest.

- It makes all other MMORPG's look like knock offs
- It kills any other MMORPG's because it has a monopoly and people don't want to put money into Devvin' one.

Your best bet is something radically different like Eve online. Also Orange box is a great time sink.

With the game scoring a 7.5 score on GS, and averaging around 80% everywhere else on the web, I don't see how the game can be as bad as everyone in this thread is making it. Also, all MMO's are repetitive.

Like I said the game is fun and interesting if you play for 30 min at a time. If you play it for longer you releaize that every quest is the same, more so than other MMOs, the combat is basically left mouse button mashing, and last I looked it suffered from a long list of bugs that should have been taken care of in beta.

Well I gave Eve online a try and that game is just WAY too slow for me. But I agree I guess WoW was just too good. Is the upcoming warhammer MMO based on warhammer40k or just warhammer?

Unless you have friends who are also playing TR, you might last about a week before giving up on the game. There are some pretty cool things such as game generated attacks on various control points / bases, sci-fi feel to the game, etc.. but it pretty much boils down to "go get or do something and return for a nifty prize".

Warhammer Fantasy. Also, EA is now the owner of it.
