Taco Bell 42 cent tacos

This may be YMMV but I got a flyer tonight for 6 different Taco Bell locations in IL, Iowa, and Missouri. Soft or Hard shell, beef only.

Other tacos I like are from hole-in-wall Mexican restaurants. Steak, carne asada, carnitas, al-pastor... with some cilantro... I'm hungry now.

Strangely Jack in the Box regular (not jumbo) tacos are pretty good. Not really as tacos, but as just "nacho-like" snacks.

Taco Bell crunchy tacos are somewhere below these, but still very edible.

Not true.. the hard tacos get pretty soft from the greasy beef =P

LOL, ya the Police sit right across from our late-nite Taco Bell.

Always liked their crunchy tacos, but as I got older they just give me heartburn .
I guess thats my bodies way of saying "What are you doing!!!!!".

god i miss jack in the box.

I used to goto a community college in southern cali... In bio class we were learning about lipids & fats or something and the teacher had asked the class for examples of various brands of ranch. This mexican dude who was always asleep in class yelled from the back, " Jack in the BOX!" Everyone laughed.

It was good stuff. Anyway, yes i loved that monster taco, jack in the box ruled. and the wileys buffalo sauce or franks hotsauce.

there are no jack in the boxes down here in the southeast us.

Taco Bell is one disgusting excuse for mexican food & I can't stand it ... my older daughter however loves the stuff & I have a $5 gift certificate so hopefully the discount applies to all locations not just the ones in the OP.

Taco Bell is probably one of my favorite places to eat but most the time I get steak or chicken which I know ain't as bad as the beef as far as grease. Of course not alot of places to eat around here.

If you can manage to visit on a tuesday, they're $1 after 4PM!

I used to eat Taco Bell like twice a week during highschool, but now I'm sick to my stomach every time I eat there. Hot deal, but I'll pass

If you do indeed go, be sure and note the amount of "meat" they put in it. The ad shows the taco a generous 1/2 full of their "meat", yet every time I go to any of the same owner owned ones around here I get, oh, perhaps a half inch of "meat" at best. Very irritating at best, illegal at worst.

That said, just like with LJS, I typically feel nauseous after eating at TB also, which is funny since I have a friend that lives on this sewage, yet he and his wife get sick at virtually every other decent sit-down Mexican restaurant in town.

no i dont think so.

del taco was 39 cents a long time ago. i think taco bell was 59 cents 3-4 years ago.
