Taisol Athlon Coolers => How Loud?

Just wondering how loud these babies are ... I'm thinking of changing my Heatsink and Fan.

Very quiet in my opinion, at least compared to others I've had. Excellent cooling as well.

Just about as quiet as you're gonna get with socketA. The fan is rated at 37 decibals but I don't thinks thats accurate or it could be that its a very low hum that is easier to tolerate than a high pitched gorb

i have the cek734 and it's quiet. great cooling and i can't even hear it over the 80mm fans i have in the front and back. those 80's are quiet too, not the high output ones. if i were you, i'd hold off on buying a taisol now, and wait another week or so because they have a new, forged heatsink coming out that will deliver even better cooling. there's a thread somewhere in this forum. it's on taisol's site too. it's the cgk742 or "Big Bad Voodoo Daddy."

Problem with that new hsf is more fins which equals more noise. The fine fins of the cgk742 look an awful lot like the fin arrangement of the fops. Sure they will perform better but it is unlikely that the new models will be as quiet as the current series

EXREMELY quiet with my Taisol 734....I don't think you can get quieter for Socket A....
