<< FINAL UPDATE
For those that have emailed me in the last 5 days or so I have been gone on Thanksgiving vacation and I don't take a computer with me on vacation.

I have sold all of the last batch I ordered. I have a few people on a waiting list in case any of the promised payments from a couple of people don't arrive. I received a couple of payments just before I left on vacation and these will get mailed out tomorrow. I also have about 600 emails to go through so it may take a day before I get back to those that have emailed me.

If someone else would like to continue the group buy, please feel free to drop a message here. Thanks to the 99% of you that realized what a group buy entails and didn't expect me to drop everything at work to take a single package to the post office. Sorry to those that still want in on the group buy price, but with only one or maybe two requests a day it would take 3 to 4 weeks to get enough orders for another 25.
>>

* Vpham97: DaYooper has served out almost 200 of these Taisol HSF. If you would like take over this group buy, you can also take over this thread and start a new one. Email me(in my profile) if you need the source code to this thread to start a new one.

* After you've received your order from DaYooper, please leave him a positive rating on Heatware ratingAnandtech. Thank Ryan for the hardwork & countless hours to help us out!!!

No I do not work for Taisol. I've seen many recomendation in Anandtech's CPU & Cooling & Overclocking Forums. Check for it yourself. Many said that this perform almost as good as the Alpha 6035. Good luck if you can find the Alpha 6035 however. They are out of stock right now. 2CoolTek has it that it that they are hoping for it to be available at the end of October. Then maybe not.

Feel free to post any comment on the performance of this TAISOL CEK733092.

$11.30 for Taisol vs. $30 for Alpha 6035

I would have to agree....this is definitely a great HSF.....

TAISOL CEK733092

The company happens to be local to me....and I bought a couple and they are great ......for only $11.30.....

They have other AMD HSFs, one above this model, and one below it in price.

They sell other HSFs too....

i hear shipping is kind of high, we should round some peep up and do a bulk buy - especially if a local guy could pick em up
altho it may not be worth the hassle of ... hasselhoff... err anyways
hassle of rounding people up , collecting money.. etc

Looks like a good deal.

Ride525 - you could make a killing if you bought a couple 25 packs and shipped them book rate (like $1.00)... please?

Let's see. Using the generous amount of $2 shipping we get: 197.5/25 = 7.9 + 2 = 9.9 -> much less than the $18.30 I'm getting for my total. You could probably mark it up 3 bucks or so per heatsink and make 75 bucks on the deal yourself too

When I ordered from them, they sent me twice what I ordered. So I sold the other half and got mine for free! Wonder if it was a fluke. Shipping took about a week though, and I'm in CA too.

Hmmmmm...interesting ideas.....but the way things stand....I have to pay sales tax on them right now....

And I would have to figure out how to package them for mailing so they would be protected...

Any more ideas?

Oh yeah, tax... it's like another buck then

I'd think that taisol would give you them in boxes eh? Though the boxes would probably be on the small end. You could go the expensive route and ship priority mail (3.20) and use the free mailing supplies they have (search older threads for more info on this). Chuck in some crumpled newspaper or some other free material and you're done. You could talk to other people who have done group buys before. For example - the mushkin ram buys.

Hojl: it only seems like they make amd coolers.

yep, shipping is 7 bucks and it took a week to get to me. But it is a pretty good HSF for the money. Check the link in the sig for temps with the CEK733092.

If anybody in the LA area wants to get together and buy a batch of these, leave me a note.

Currently my case temp is 27c and cpu temp is indicated (yeah, yeah, we know it's not accurate) at 53c with a golden orb.

If you are complaining about shipping, the shipping price is not that bad. It's standard practice on pricewatch.

If you look on pricewatch's store, they charge anywhere from $6 to $10 for shipping.

If you are looking for a box to sent these things out after you buy it in bulk, you can use the U.S post office's priority mail's mailbox. These are available for free from your local post office.
Just fold them backward so that the PRIORITY MAIL'S GRAPHIC is not showing.

To mail bookrate w/ these box it would cost about $1.13 for up to one pound.
Then you can throw in .35 cent if you want a receipt showing that you have actually mail your product out.

I bought a 5 pack for $45.20, and shipping was only $9.00.
They do not give you seperate boxes, but instead put all 5 in 1 box.

You can also use these on a socket 7 board. That's where my AMD OEM
HSF ended up. Works great.

Temperature dropped on the Duron about 5C to 8C with these fans, but
don't expect to get any more speed out of your CPU. Heat does not
seem to be the limiting factor, as my 600 would "ONLY" get to 952MHz
with either OEM or the Taisol HSF, but I felt much comfortable with
the 5C to 8C temp drop using the new HSF.

I haven't tested the more expensive 734092. It has a bigger heatsink, but uses the same fan. I wasn't convinced it would cool all that much better, and it costs $10 more.

I asked TaiSol about it when the CEK734092 first came out (right after I bought my 733092). They said that it was the exact same as the other one except it had a slightly longer heatsink which makes the HSF rated higher. Not worth the extra money.

Hey DulySeeFit
Yes, it will do a lot better than your stock heatsink!
Using the stock heatsink my unoverclock T/Bird was around 57 Celcius. As you can read for your self, other peoples in this forum report that this Taisol CK933 heatsink get them down to 27 - 30 Celcius. That is a significant degrees of heats differences. Having a cooler CPU cut down the chances of your CPU making errors. Plus this is rated beyond 1.1 Ghz so you have a future w/ this heatsink.
