They also have some decent phase-change thermal pads. I remember reading somewhere that AMD prefers this to paste because the small die area of the Duron really gets hot and will dry out the Radio Shack stuff quickly.

That't room for big argument. Some prefer the pad, some like the silver stuff.

From what I understand, all AMD approved HSF must be included w/ the thermal pad. And this Taisol HSF is AMD approved & recomendded.

Just wanted to let you all know I'm still working on this....looks like it is a go for 25....I'll keep you posted as I get it all together....

If I had 100 ordered, it would cut over a dollar off the price....

If it's a go let me know I will probably get one or two.
How much would it cost to ship in small box because I have been recieving some pretty roughed up packages lately and would hate to receive new HSF all mangled and broken up.

So what do you think of bubble paper lined envelopes? Boxes cost a little more. I'm not so sure post office will be happy with me taking 25 (or more) of their Priority Mail boxes and turning them inside out.

I certainly want all these shipments to go well....

I actually thought of putting an additional cardboard "ring" around the HSF before putting it in the Bubble Paper Envelope....

Vpham97: Could you change the Ride252 to Ride525 in the title? Thanks.

Here's what I hope will happen....I'm going to try and get everything together the rest of this week and try and send out Monday morning from San Francisco Post Office. Hopefully, most, if not all will reach you that week.

I have only some idea of who wants them from postings here.

How about writing me an email at the address below and let me know how many you want. Don't send money yet, I'll respond to your emails. I'd prefer Verified Paypal I think. Perhaps Money Orders will work too. (anything to look out for here?)
Any input/suggestions here would be appreciated.

Oh, and I'm not some high school kid trying to rip you off....(I'm a 49 year old semi-computer geek)...... (yeah only semi).......

Think that's enough for now......

Went to Post Office in San Francisco to disuss....

I'm thinking of shipping First Class....It is only about $0.50 more to ship one HSF first class, rather than shipping "standard" or "book" delivery....and you should all get the shipments faster....in 2-3 days...instead of the "up to 8 days" that standard delivery offers.

I'm working on shipping containers now....

First class is a good option. If shipping containers get to costing much, you could go Priority Mail with Delivery confirmation for under $4. Granted, it's not a true tracking number, but it gives a fair amount of warm fuzzies in the tum-tum and the boxes are free.

I think I'm going to try out the Agilent Articooler myself. Maybe I'll get one of these and compare.
