Doh mail man just came... no HS/fan yet ;( This is torture! I've had my MB installed and waiting for this thing I lucked out and got a week 31 duron 600... hopefully I'll be able to get `1ghz out of it )))) But waiting for the fan is killing me!!! hehe (impatient)

Wish I knew they came from Fremont, CA! I was just there last Friday... could have stopped in a grabbed one from the factory

Incredible! Thanks DaYooper!

I went from 51C running 850 (600@100X8.5) to 45C 950! (600@100X9.5).

Just incredible!

The power!

Did try to go higher, but don't have enough volts (max volts right now)

Thanks DaYooper. The Taisol brought my Duron 600 from 53c @ 950 to 45c @ 950 while using prime95. Now I'm thinking about trying for the gig again.

Thanks for doing the leg work, Da Yooper. Very professionally done, I might add.

Temp dropped around 2-6C from the retail HSF, and that's using the pink phase-change pad that came on the Taisol.

Got both of mine last Wednesday. 2 TaiSols for $22 including shipping. Damn, what a good deal. Thanks again DaYooper for all of your hard work. We overclockers sure appreciate it. Brought my CPU temp down 4 degrees celcius. Before, I was using the crappy chrome orb, but that's junk now. I'm sorry I ever bought it. As a matter of fact, I think I'm going to go smash it with a hammer.

Thanks for the hs/f... unfortunately I have yet to buy the duron it will go on, but that'll happen in a few days.

AMD4SPEED: Don't break it! Send it to me so I can stick it on my Creative Annihilator 2MX (blasted cost cutting... didn't even come with a heatsink). I'll pay shipping plus, get this, two dollars!

I haven't got my case yet so I haven't test out the Taisol.

The result you guys posted is with the thermal pad that is on the Taisol or with thermal compund like Artic Silver?

zhensel,
You might want to start buying your cpu NOW!
Price on pricewatch are going back up!

Amd forecast that they won't have enough T/bird to meet the demand this holiday season.

I haven't put my HSF on yet, but I have never had one that was cooler than room temp sitting on my desk! I picked it up last night off my desk and it was downright cold! Thanks Dayooper. My Duron clocks to 1GHz easily, so I'll let y'all know how much it goes down when I put this baby + arctic silver on. It was running 52-54 Celsius before.

For those installing the TaiSol, if you look you'll notice a little slot on one side of the metal clip which allows you to use a screwdriver to help apply pressure when seating the heatsink on the CPU.

Well at 600MHz and default voltage my temp went fro 39/40 to 33/34. I must have messed up my bridges when I changed HSFs 'cause I can't OC now, so I'll have to redo the bridges and get back to you on my 1GHz temps.
