You see, when you sell something over the net and ship it out of state you do not charge state sales tax. I could buy something here locally and pay no sales tax because I am a reseller and sell it to you in another state and charge no sales tax because it is out of state. Then if I make no profit like the good Dayooper here, there is no income to pay taxes on. This is not difficult or illegal. When is the last time you paid sales tax on the net?

Every reseller know exactly how to do that trick, and so are folks at your state's Department of Revenue. Just go tell them you have a LEGIT web site that happens to sell EVERYTHING to people out of state. This is not about the legal system, if the glove don't fit, you must acquit. This is the tax system, and it can haunt you for the rest of your life.
If you think what you do is perfectly legal and normal, give me your business name and I will report that to your local DOR and see what they think. See if you can explain all those big fat zeros in your resale tax forms.

I motored down to Fremont yesterday and bought 5 TAISOL CEK733092 fans for $45 &amp; change plus tax. They asked me to order over the net, but claimed that they would waive the S&amp;H, though the charge appeared in my confirmation email. I'll have to check with Visa to see if they really charged me or not. In any case I have a fan or two to spare, though I'm sure I can find good homes for them eventually. If anyone wants to pick one up in Oakland for $11 (which would cover a bit of my gas) they can email me.

WTF? I am not throwing any accusations anywhere!!!! All I asked was for an update and kinda like a confirm as that yes he got my $$ and yes I am on the list. Doing 100+ orders when you are not used to this kind of business can be a little overwhelming. As I had not received any reply to my paypal msg I was curious as I had not seen anything on the status. In the beginning It was 25 for the group buys and now all of a sudden its a 100. I was in no way notified that &quot;hey, we are going to be a bit longer so that we can make a bigger purchase&quot;. So if anything, I think you should not be the one making any accusations!!!!!!!!

I live in Fremont, and picked my order up too. In fact, I was the one who was putting together this whole group buy just over a couple of weeks ago. I was going to pick up the HSFs on Friday Oct 20 and ship them out early last week.

But first, someone else was trying to put together an order, and then Da Yooper suddenly said he would ship them slightly cheaper than I had originally said. Originally, I thought he wasn't going to make much money on single orders, but since he ordered 100, I think he got a significant discount .

Since Da Yooper had to have them shipped from Fremont to him before he could send orders out, looks like ordering through him will take a week or so longer to get them.....

Taisol told me to just put a note on the order that indicated I would pick up in Fremont. They didn't charge me for the shipping and handling.

UPDATE

I've sent out all HSF's that I have received payment for from the first group buy of 100. I did get half a dozen payments in the mail today and I'll send those people's HSF out tomorrow along with an email including your delivery confirmation number.

If you want in on the next group buy, drop me a note at the address below. I'll probably order these tomorrow so they should be here the middle of next week.

I also got a chance to replace the factory HSF on my overclocked PIII 700 with the TaiSol. The TaiSol HSF has to be greatest value on the market, especially at $13 each. My high temps went from around 50C to a high of 37C. The fans on these move A LOT of air, but are fairly quite. If you ask me, it's no louder than the stock Intel HSF. The clip on TaiSol is also very nice. It's really easy to wedge a small screwdriver in the provided slot and flex the clip enough to allow it slide over the tabs on the socket. I'm highly impressed for $13.00

My new retail tb900 comes with a 734 hsf and it wont fit the abit kt7 raid bd the hsf is unmarked but the bottom of the fan says delta so its the same, I'll get the 733 and try to find a bigger delta fan....
