Can someone photoshop him on top of the gay Spanish brigade?

Those face masks would probably cause severe overheating. I had to wear a mask while spray painting a fence last summer and it sucked. There's nowhere for the heat to go when your head and face are covered like that.

No such thing as bullet proof. Even if it stops the round from penetrating, you still get treated to the inertial effects of an object travelling at supersonic speeds. The concussive force of anything but a small caliber pistol bullet would likely be more than sufficient to incapacitate.

"Assuming the gun and shooter are at rest, the force on the bullet is equal to that on the gun-shooter. This is due to Newton's third law of motion (For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction). Consider a system where the gun and shooter have a combined mass M and the bullet has a mass m. When the gun is fired, the two systems move away from one another with new velocities V and v respectively. But the law of conservation of momentum states that the magnitudes of their momenta must be equal:

Since force equals the rate of change in momentum and the initial momenta are zero, the force on the bullet must therefore be the same as the force on the gun/shooter."

You misunderstand the equation. If you add the two forces they equal zero because they are in opposite directions.

Vf^2 - Vo^2 = 2aX, where a is the deceleration of the bullet and X is the distance traveled during that deceleration.

Since the final velocity is zero, we have
-Vo^2 = 2aX.

The initial velocity of a standard 9mm handgun round is approximately 1250 ft/s = 381 meters/second. Consider X to be a very small distance (approximately the thickness of the helmet, so call it 2 cm).

So we have a = -(381^2) / 2*.02 = -145162/.04 = -3629025 m/s^2 of deceleration.

The force from this impact is F = ma, mass of a 124 grain bullet is 0.00803506484 kg.

Ergo the force transmitted to the skull of the solider will be approximately 29,159.5 Newtons = 6555.316357166659 lbs = dead.

God damn. Use the equation for conservation of momentum and you'll see that the head won't accelerate at lethal speeds.

Try wearing a SCBA and add a hazmat suit.

No. Fuck you. I ain't getting in another one of those things. Supplied air or bottled air, they suck.

I did HAZMAT clean-up for a couple of years. I finally said, "Fuck This. It ain't worth the money."

It would be like holding the butt of a rifle against your forehead while shooting it. Probably comparable to being punched or having someone kick a soccer ball at your head.

The shape of the mask makes a difference too. Being at a steep angle would deflect bullets rather than stop them.

Of course the head will accelerate more slowly, it's much more massive, but that force has to go somewhere, and I doubt a thin mask is absorbing that much.

At the very least it'll be enough to fracture the skull which likely = dead. FYI "lethal force" under the law is defined as a blow with a blunt object above the shoulders. This would seem to qualify.
