Here are the results of a CD Speed Disk Quality Test that I just ran for OPTODISK 4x +R media that was burned using an NEC 3520AW. If I am reading the scan correctly, the results are horrible (PI 420 / PIF 47.05).

(According to the
DVD Media Quality Guide, the Optodisk
-R is good quality but the Optodisk
+R is poor quality.)

Well, since you're using Kprobe2, i guess their official site
http://www.kprobe2.com/ has a lot of info on error scanning. A huge Kprobe2 thread over at
http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=93944 might offer some nice reading.
They say > 280 for PI and > 4 for PIF is supposedly acceptable for most modern DVD players to read @ 1x (because DVD players play at 1x), but as you can see by your scan ( ~400 PI and ~40 PIF avgs), there's something definitely wrong. But hey, can that disk play? Will it play in your set top DVD player or read in your Lite-On? If so, i guess that disk works for you, and could be considered a 'successful' burn.
The main page also suggests scanning @ 4x, so try doing that to see if it makes a difference in the numbers. I like using Kprobe2 rather than Nero CD Speed, even though they do the same thing. I actually compared the two, the results were a little different, but not too far off.
Anyways, try burning after a fresh reboot, and also try burning while no programs are running to see if it helps on your scores. Good luck!
some scans i did a while back. i was relatively new to dvd burning, and found that running azureus made all the big spikes in burning
