lol just got my 100 pack says Value DVD-R on the wrap.. holy crap are the tops shiny though lol what program does everyone use to check the media code? I tried nero CD-Dvd speed but I don't think my version shows it cause its kinda old (i think installed a while ago). So I opened up alchohol and found they were TYG01.

lmao! lmao! i only order their regular house branded 4x dvd-r and got tgy02. it burned flawlessly at 12x. the one advertised at pricewatch.com? so i'm sure it's real! plus I pay only half what you're paying.

it has a very thick gold ring on top coating, around the inner layer of leadin, closest to center hole. this is unlike any regular dvd-r i have gotten from them. wished I ordered a 1000 instead of 500, it's priceless!

since the 4x's are being phased out. Too bad, I burn at 4x on the 8's anyway.
I think you get better burning at 4, though I sometimes burn at 6.
