Take a look at this Galaxy 590 pcb!

Is there conclusive proof that the 590 won't use GF104 cores? I thought that using GF104 was quite likely for 590 because dual 580's would be virtually impossible given each individual card's power draw?

I figured 590 would be dual GF114 chips, but GF114 is basically just fully unlocked GF104 chips.

there is ZERO chance that the gtx590 will be using the old gf104 cores. it would make no sense as it would not even be faster than the gtx580 in most cases much less compete with the 6990. Evga and Galaxy are making a dual gf104 card just to have a niche product that can do surround without braking the bank.

That's not a 590. its a Galaxy Dual 460 card.

^^ Dual 460 card seems late. 460's are cheap. This card will need to be under $350.00 to make it worthwhile. If they were smart they'd put 4GB of RAM on it.

No, they have an abundance of GTX 460's laying around (cores not finished product) they can get rid of all the extra's laying around and when they run out because the GTX 560 is pin compatible with the 460 they can just slide that in and make the GTX 560x2 with little to no effort.
