yeah that is not gf110 cores in the op because gf110 is square.The chips say GF104 in the first picture. It's a custom gtx 460 x2 (or maybe a gtx560 x2). 1gb x 2 GPU's.
Charlie Sheen edition I suspect.
did you not read the other comments? that cannot be a gtx590 since those are gf104 gpus in those pics.I visit Anandtech.com hoping to avoid anything about Charlie Sheen on the web = FAIL :'(
Anyhow nice looking PCB! I thought only ASUS and EVGA will be launching the GTX 590?
I thought only ASUS and EVGA will be launching the GTX 590?
Where did you here that from?
Interestingly enough, sources close to Nvidia tell us that only ASUS and EVGA will be offering the GeForce GTX 590 in the North American market. It's unclear why this will be the case, but hopefully we will get some kind of official response when the card goes public.
I wonder how well 4 x 590s will run Dragon Age 2
What would be great is if Nvidia would release a dual gtx560 card with the (obviously) lower power and cooling requirements that the gtx590 and hd6990 need. Drop the gtx580 to $450, put the gtx585 (dual gtx560's) at $500, and then call it a day.
That would be a much, much better dual solution than these >400w jet engine abominations that both companies are proudly releasing.
About as well as dual 6990's would run Mafia II with high phsyX, at the moment.
Yes, I had the same thoughts about AMD, they streamlined Cyrpess to Barts, 2 6870's at 950mhz and better scaling would be interesting. Above 5970, but not near dual Cayman.
Maybe we will see more dual gpu cards in the coming months, to keep interest up, since IMO, 28nm higher end parts won't come till next year.
