BigDan,
<< This sounds more like most christians, not atheists. >>
True Christians, or your stereotyped, malformed view of Christians?
athlongeek618,
<< Throughout the years religion has made such a blemish on history...it's caused more bloodshed, hatred and carnage than anything else. It seems as though too many people have the atitude "believe in my god, or else" >>
I do not believe in any one specific God, nor follow any particular religious doctrine. I am constantly reflecting on, and refining my personal views. I was a "hardcore athiest" for a long time, and again a little more recently. Constant self-reflection, though, has taught me that no matter what else I may try to believe, there is a part of me that thrives on my faith and spirituality. Yet, according to you, "[I]'d rather not form [my] own opinions."
UG,
<< Funny. That's exactly what it is about Theists that ticks off Athiests. >>
Come on, you know me better than that. athlongeek618 made a blantantly ignorant post about religion, using one of the oldest, most worn out arguments there is, and I simply responded in kind to make a point.
