if your contact ever pops out (and it will) and you don't have any solution just put it in your mouth for a couple of seconds and it'll be decent enough to go in your eye. Or you could probably just spit on it but that's a little messier.

best and cheapest way to go is use daily wear contacts.
(the ones meant to be thrown away each night)
Been doing this for years, eye doc says no problemo.
I take them out each nite but wear them for a week. Fresh pair on Monday morning
and in trash on the following Sunday.
If you compare the formula for daily wear and weekly wear. they say the exact same thing, atleast for the brand i am using (1 Day Acuvue Moist)

taken from the website...first is 1day acuvue..2nd is the weekly wear Acuvue
Etafilcon A. 42%
Etafilcon A. 42%

same thing. buying the daily ones works out to about 2bux a week.

Is this for real or are you messing with me? Also, can I rub them with my fingers and not scratch them? (I have some Acuvue disposables.)

I haven't worn them the last two days because I was embarrassed to go to work without my glasses lol. I am going to put them on now though.

I'll ask about them on my follow up exam this Saturday. How much are they money-wise? I was told a years supply of the Acuvue lens I have now will cost me $400. Is that a lot?

Worst advice ever.

I got them on now. I finally have a method that works courtesy of google. (Using my middle fingers to open each eye wide as hell.) I'd say it took less than 10 seconds each eye.

Dumb question - How do I know if the contact is backwards or not? I used my judgement on this one, and I don't feel either contact in my eye right now, so I assume they are right?

Man it's nice looking at my laptop right now -- it looks so sharp.

It's easier to tell if toric lenses are inside out, regulars are harder to notice. Sometimes the very edges of the lens will curl at an odd angle if they're inside out. It'll also likely feel strange in your eye. If they're comfortable and you can see, they're probably right.

That's one of the few advantages to having these rigid lenses, haha.

Sometimes the contacts will get super dry and you'll have nothing else available to you. That's the best thing I've done that works. I haven't tried pissing on it yet though.

Simple, hemispherical = right away, curved outwards = wrong way.

Some contacts have 123 written on the side that goes on the outside of your eye. If it's backwards than you need to flip it inside out.

I didn't see any numbers. They do however, have tiny slits on each side. Does that mean anything?

Is it better to buy contacts online? I am getting very used to them and have an incredible urge to wear glasses less and less.

My girlfriend just got a year's supply of Accuvue contact lenses for less than $200. You should find a cheaper place to buy them. Also, if you're a first time contact lens buyer, then I think Accuvue will give you a rebate ($50 or $75). You'll have to look into it though.

try different brands. I tried Focus for a while but found them too low quality. some fresh out of the pack with a piece missing other times they tear too easy. I like the daily wear as i do alot of sports and if i lose one(which happens alot) its not such a big deal.

i buy mine online and have been for years. Clearly Contacts. I buy 2 boxes of 30
for ~30bux each. So thats a 30week supply. I have to buy 2 box because one eye is
3.00 and the other is 2.25
so 60wks (over 1yrs worth) is only around 120bux. much better than the above $400
If i order early they ship same day and arrive a day later.

not sure what brand you have but my Acuvue have the 123 in them. Some times you can tell what side is up if you put the contact on the end of your finger ...the curve is more U shaped if right and more of a V if not.
