For good tea, you are probably going to have to order it or find a specialty shop. Thankfully we have the internet now. Check out pu-er teas, really good stuff there and they are less finicky for brewing for a beginner.

It's the tannins. All the darker teas will make me feel sick if drink too much or drink on empty stomach. You have to be careful how long you brew the tea, as well.

I wouldn't go that far. I do like honey in my black or green tea whenever I'm sick.

However if I were to load it up with cream and sugar, I would consider getting hot chocolate/cocoa instead. No point in changing the flavor of tea when hot chocolate is better for the creamier and sweeter drink, in my opinion.

My experiences with teabags haven't been that great.

I do have some tazo black tea and jasmine that's ok.

I'm not too finicky about teas. I tend to prefer black tea, but green tea is good too. I'd suggest getting some loose tea, the flavor tends to be quite a lot better. I brought back like 5 packages of tea from china last time I went.

The Brits have been doing it for as long as they've been making tea so if you're an American commenting on this, history is not on your side. Additionally, there is NOTHING wrong with making any food to one's personal taste. I like my looseleaf Assam black and I like my tea-bag Morning Breakfast with milk. Nothing makes one method inherently superior to another. So STFU and take your snottiness elsewhere.

Some teas are better with cream and/or sweetener. If you are not sure which, perhaps you should broaden your tea-drinking horizons.
