Hey, I just came across this price. Tankguys.biz has the X2 3800+ for $335, but it is backordered. The deal is only good for in stock orders. This deal might have been posted earlier, but I didn't find it in a search. Just thought I would mention it.

BTW, model # is ADA3800BVBOX if that helps.

Tankguys are good and they use this forum. (In fact, they'll probably read this thread )

Shipping is not factored in... they charge actual costs, so YMMV. Even in the worst case senario, it should be cheapest around.

This is true, they have a member under the tankguys names who posts in many of the forums here. I believe they where selling garunteed toledo core 3800+ processors for a while. I was tempted to jump on them but don't have the $ right now. Plus I want them to drop to $250-300 mark by Christmas.

It was $335 for their stock of Manchester that were left over. I'm sure the TankGuys rep will probably respond to this thread. He's been a pretty active and informative member from what I can tell. My guess is that he was offering a pretty good discount to get rid of his current stock in hopes that his next batch will be the Toledo cores that everyone seems to be wanting (for reasons that are kind of unjustifiable). He may also be bracing for some cannibalization of X2 3800+ sales by the new Opteron chips that should be coming out any day now.

Wow, it's like you read my mind I was pretty much going to post that very thing but you beat me to it.

Sorry for the dissapointment guys, we had 10 of them on Thursday, so we ran the promo. It was a nice price, but I didn't think it was earth shatteringly great. I was surprised to see our deal pop up here, on the fatwallet forums, slickdeals, resellerratings, and another place (don't remember) so they moved pretty quick. I had to blow these manchesters out because nobody seems to want them.

So yes, we are OOS now, and I think we are going to go back to drop shipping again so I won't know if they are manchesters or Toledo's anymore. Since all the big stores dropped thier prices to $347, we can't compete with that directly anymore, except for customers in CA where we don't charge sales tax
