I didn't see any of those left. As a matter of fact, when I bought my armoire another lady got the last chest of drawers at the South St store. I'll keep my eyes open and if I spot one I can pick it up for you if you'ld like.

I would LOVE you so much if you would do that for me!!!! My girls are sharing a dresser that is older than I am . I am going to look at some more valley stores tomorrow, but I don't think that I will have much luck. I find that my best deals are usually at the yuckiest (or under construction) Targets, and I already looked there . Thank you so much for coming to AnAndTech with all your amazing finds It is always nice to hear another 'Targeteer' success story!

I am surprised that you think the sandy store is the best. I like the fort union store better. They tend to have more clearance products. But the sandy always has more electronics on clearance. I think I will check out that desk tomorrow at the sandy store but I will proble not buy it . I run into people from anandtech and that other forumn all the time at target so I think there are alot of us here in utah that shop at target.
The most common people I run into is that m-coupon place.

Unclebud, hot for me = at least 75% off. Flaming hot = 90% off. It kills me to buy something when it's only 50% off but sometimes you have to bite the bullet.

and we can't have that

forgot that these 64 oz juices made by archer(?) are on clearance for $1.60 (local thing? no dpc code--but scanned fine)
but the exp date is sometime in 02

I saw the juice yesterday too. Something we both forgot to mention was in the Health & Beauty area they marked down some items 50%. I saw the percussion massagers, infrared massagers, bubble spas, parafin wax spas and a few other things. Something to watch for if you need those things. Awhile back, didn't you mention you were waiting for the percussion massagers to go down?

On Tuesday they marked down some more sheets too. Some were Martex others were the Ultra Touch in certain colors only. Not the whole line of both. I don't need anymore but if the price is right....

I love target, unfortunately everytime i read about the clearanced items here, I book over to the local targets and they have all been cleaned out. I ask the csr if they still carry the items and they always quickly reply that they had liquidated those items months ago I never get the target deals . . .but here's hopin

p0ntif, you'ld be amazed how many of the employees don't even know what's on clearance. Never take their word for it. You really need to get in there pretty quick once items go 75% off because they don't last long. The problem with your store may be that the employees are snagging everything. The employees at one of the stores near me do this. So if there's something I really want I go to a different store that I know will have the item because the employees there are clueless.

The problem I have is the employees at the Target's near me know I follow what's being marked down. As soon as I walk in the stores they start asking "what do you know", "what did you find" etc. If they see anything in my cart they come over and start looking through that too.

Spjegues - I usually don't go to the Ft. Union store, it's a little bit too far for me (living at the point of the mountain). However, I will say I've had my suspicions there are other Atechers/Mcoupon/Fwallet people out there hitting the Targets (not to mention Staples, OM, and OD) here in Salt Lake. Unless I jump on a deal the day it gets posted, all the clearance stuff is cleaned out.

If Ft. Union has more selection on clearance items, maybe I'll start hitting that store.

The Fort Union store occasionally has the clearance stuff, I rarely get to Sandy, Centerville never has anything, and I hardly ever get up to Layton or Ogden. So it's not me. But *somebody* is out there hogging all the hot deals - if there's a deal announced on here and I get to the store later than 15 minutes after it's posted or after the store opens, it's gone and the manager is already starting to get pissed about the 'internet geeks' that keep asking him for the deal.

But oddly enough, I stopped in the Staples in Sandy yesterday on a whim to check for the Pixie monitors. As I was walking in, I watched a woman pushing a cart with the last of them out the door. So I guess it is still possible to find deals in Utah on occasion.

I just wanted to say thanks to UTmtnbiker. I stopped by at the sandy target store about 10 minutes ago and picked up the last scissor desk. I think this desk will work out well for me.
My parents live up in centerville and they never have anything up there at that store. The west jordan store is smaller and I usually can not find anything up there either. I rarely get the hot deals So I am not the one hogging all the deals here in Utah, But we should work together along with (Jclark and UTmtnbiker) and anybody else here in utah to either save us some time by saying what is at some stores. Or if we find something people are wanting buying it and sharing, what are your ideas?

I'm still utterly pissed my Target for not lowering the price on that GE UPS below $35. Well, I guess I will never know if they did or not cause I checked/scanned for a long time and the one week I didn't, it disappeared . Going to scan all of carmann's postings for "UPS" from now on ...

unclebud, to be honest with you I don't know anything about g-shocks. I've seen other people post that they're pretty good watches for the money.

I personally won't wear a watch that isn't at least 14kt gold.

My G-Shock was a great watch, used it for several years. It is still kicking around in a drawer somewhere. I used it with a 120# jack hammer, and doing all sorts of heavy construction work, and it never had a problem.

<< I personally won't wear a watch that isn't at least 14kt gold. >>

I guess that explains why you spend so much time scoping hot deals at Target (LOL).

Yesterday, I picked up one of the computer desks and 3 wooden book shelves at $12.76 each. I have seen a lot of thread crappers regarding the Fantom Fury vacuums. Anyone can speak of them from personal experience? I picked up the Lightning when it was at $73 (thanks Carmann)and it is a great product. BTW, anyone having difficulty finding good clearance items at Target, branch out and try another store in your area. Lots of factors affect how quickly things get marked down and how quickly they fly out of the store. I have found stores in my area that always seem to have better deals than others...

Whizbang,
I bought a fantom about a year ago and I think it is a GREAT vacum.
I have done alot of remodeling in my home and have sucked up everything from chunks of sheetrock
to legos ( 2 kids ). The only down side is the attachment hose does not have alot of sucking power.

Okay, went to Target today and found a great deal on This programmable pressure cooker. The link is actually to a relabled version of it. The version they have at Target was Nutritionist instead of Faberware, but the models are the exact same, just different name brand (no I don't know who actually makes it for either company). The regular price at Target was $99.99 according to the sticker. It was marked down on clearence to $69.90 previously and it was at $49.90 today when I purchased it. The link sends you to a web site that has it for $129.95. So I was pleased. Now the wife can get back in the kitchen and cook... (jk)

Happy deal hunting...

Does anyone know any stores in the cerritos/ long beach area that still has any vacums on clearance? I need to get one. I was able to pick up a TV/VCR stand at the Target on Downey and South for 25 bucks. They still had a few furniture items left at the store on friday afternoon. Have fun searching.
