Target B&M Clearance Item: Mad Catz Xbox Controller - YMMV

Hey Folks,

I didn't see this at our local Target but did see it at the Target near my mother-in-law. They have the Mad Catz Xbox Control Pad Pro on clearance for $12.48. The original price was $24.99. I was also at WalMart later that day and they had it for full price.

My receipt has the sku # 207000027 on it. They had two and I picked up one, and as soon as I left the parking lot, I wished I had picked up the other.

I did a search to make sure it wasn't a repost and didn't find anything.

Check your local Target again. To the extent of my knowledge, clearance items are in Target's main system, so all Targets have the same price, even if it's not labelled!

You know I've always wanted to get one of these, I tried one a while ago and I loved the way the triggers felt. Rumors have it that they might have problems with memory cards but who uses memory cards on the xbox anyway?

BTW: I was able to confirm this clearance deal at my local Target. They had ~8-10 controllers out on the shelf.

Nice deal for someone looking to add a couple of decent controllers for 4-player action!

Saw the controllers today, They are the original sized style. Not the newer "s" type size.

Target has also lowered the price of the XBOX controllers by $5 so the regular and s-type are now $24.99.

Actually IMHO the Mad Catz controllers are closer to the size of the S than the Duke. The rumble is weaker than a MS pad and the white/black buttons are on top like the Duke tho.

I saw a Mad Catz steering wheel/pedals 50% off ($27.xx) yesterday. I can't remember if it was for Xbox or PS2 though.

but I went to 2 Target in LA, they don't have have any racing wheel for PS, PS2, GC or XBox, only controllers. And I can't recall I have seen any racing wheel in Target before. Guess some Target carry a lot more stuffs than others.

That's the best thing I've learned today.....
Plus, hearing of this "BIG LIST"
Target is an hour or so away, but I end up near there every week or so.... I'll have to check out clearance deals before I go next time.

i agree....but that's the same for any of the ol' style xbox controllers....suck to use but great to have around in case your friend wants to play too

Mad Catz has Horrible quality. Every mad catz controller Ive owned has ended up in the trash because their so shoddily made. Check
out the user reviews at EB Games on mad catz products.

Stick with the S controllers made by MS.

almost forgot to point out madcatz was the first to make official mem cards for the ps2 (outside of sony)...

Yep The Xbox controllers it was Target, they had 24.99 yellow tags on the plate with a new lower price tab on it. Just 2 rows from the madcap controllers. May just be the Cincinnati area.

Strange goings on at Target with these controllers. I was in there today while the markdown team was working and the controllers went back to full price :Q Looks like Corp made a mistake when they marked these down.

They were rescanning all of them and removing the clearance tags from the items and the racks. If you want one you better grab it now before your store makes the correction.

Remember, if the item has a clearance tag on it and scans higher they have to sell it to you for the lower price (as long as the dpc # on the sticker matches the dpc # of the item).
