Target B&M Deals

Today was the day that the rest of sporting goods got marked down 75%.

There were a bunch of tents and gazebos (Eddie Bauer, Coleman, Greatland) that ranged in price from 24.94 to 44.94. There were Coleman propane lanterns for 8.74, Coleman soft side lantern cases 2.44, Coleman self inflating sleeping mats w/pillow for 9.94, asst camping cookware sets 4.94 to 14.94, the Igloo 56qt wheeled cooler is now 5.44, there were other brands of soft sided cooler items 75% off too, Igloo Koolmate electric cooler 17.44. There's way to much stuff to list but it's all 75% off now.

All the electronic dart boards went 75% too.

The grey "Sports" boxes went 75% off today as well as all the yard games (croquet, horseshoes, badmitton etc).

You may want to check it out if you need any of this stuff.

btw...I met a fellow Anandtech member today while shopping. It blew me away when he knew my name but I figured out who he was too. So, maximin it was nice to meet you. I'm sure we'll run into each other again as I've seen you at other stores

Target is clearing out of a LOT of stuff right now, at least at my local one. There were clearance Red Tags up and down most of the aisles I looked. Nothing terribly hot, though. They had an HP printer for $32, but I was pretty certain it was low resolution.

Just a reminder, Friday all the V-Day merchandise will be 50% off. 2-18 items will be 75% off and 2-20 whatevers left will be 90% off. If you buy any of the V-Day merchandise and try to return it later, you will only get the current clearance price back for it.

Those of you with a sweet tooth may want to get there early as people start hitting the candy pretty quick. Those of you with kids, might as well grab some V-Day cards for your kids to give out next year. Don't forget the toy dept. They always have little "Kelly" dolls (in the Barbie area) for every holiday. Some of them are pretty cute.

Cricky, I believe the Hp printer you saw was the 632. I saw one marked down too and thought to myself, it's about time they dumped those. They've been selling those for years and for whatever reason never clearanced them out until recently.

I went to Tarjay last night, not too much there in the Gainesville Store. Specifically I went there for the cheap keyboard, funny enough, mine doesn't sell them at all. Most of the games you mentioned were still there, but marked at a higher price. My store is currently remodeling, so the only way to scan anything is to have a worker do it for you, big PAIN in the butt. Anyways, I was able to pick up a sweet golf bag for only $20 last week, as well as a box of new balls for only $4, so I can't be too disappointed. I searched in vain for another golf bag for my wife, but it just wasn't my day. Thanks for the updates, I'll have to check out domestics next week.

PLEASE, PLEASE when posting a Target "Hot Deal" please note the store/city you are posting it for. I just came back from a store in Orlando and they had NOTHING clearanced that has been posted here. It would be GREAT if anyone who posted a deal would note WHERE the deal was found. It gets very frustrating to expect to find a great deal but to find out that the message was posted by another member who found the deal in another of Target's sales districts.

dud - You can look in user profile to see what city the person who posted is from if they have that feature turned on. I see you don't have your city listed, so yours would be of no help in this regard if you posted a deal. The other fact is two Targets 5 miles away from each other may differ greatly in their clearance prices, but two 1500 miles apart may have the same clearance prices. They differ because they don't all mark items down at the same time, or they may not even have the item in stock. You just have to go to see.

Went to Target in Woburn, MA.... nothing in camping depatment is on sale. Bought a nice duffle bag with two weels on one side for 7+, electronic dart board with wooden cabinet for 24+ (original 99) and that's about it. That store usualy don't have all the specials being noted here.

I really don't need one, but I can't resist a good deal. My Target has the Eddie Bauer 2 man backpacking tent for $24.94 (originally $99.99) and the Coleman 6 man breezeway tent for $39.94 (originally 159.99!)

The tents are great deals at 75% off. I picked up two on Thursday morning. A 6 person Coleman, and a 6 person Eddie Bauer. Now all I need is the 11 women to go with me... On second thought, I could bring more women than that. They don't ALL need a tent. What was I thinking?

Gorby, your store may be cleaned out already. They've reset the sporting goods area with the new merchandise so that's what you may be seeing.

As for the drills, they should be marked down next Friday. Keep in mind if you go in to early, the markdown people may not have gotten to that area yet. When I was there checking them last week, it was already 10:30 and they weren't even in that area yet.

Danzilla, it took all I could muster not to buy any of the tents. Even today I found a few of the backpacking tents and kept telling myself I didn't need them. Yesterday, I was looking hard at the 2 room tent you bought but I just got a 2 room tent w/bonus dome tent 3 weeks ago for $10.96 (don't ask) and I have another 2 room tent that I got 2 years ago. Thing is, I don't even go camping. I figured, living in CA you never know when an earthquake will level your house so we'll need somewhere to sleep.

One last thing, could you lazy @ss people quit leaving your crap dumped by the scanners! The stores looked like a dump today, or should I say more dumpy than usual. Ya, it's a pain to put everything back but come one, I'm sure some of you could use the excercise j/k

LOL, Carmann. I couldn't resist. I never go camping, but figured the kids would one day want to pitch a tent in the yard or go camping (with someone else), so I got the 2 room Eddie Bauer tent. I can still remember the old canvas tent my parents had (actually, still have) that they bought used in the '70s. It weighed about 80 pounds and smelled like mildew, but, boy it was handy the 2 or 3 times we went camping.</FONT>

Hey folks...I just got a 6 piece sport/camping knife set for $4.94. It has 2 leatherman type tools, 2 Swiss army type knives, 1 simple single blade knife and on cresent wrech with pop out stuff. These would make great gifts. No $14 dremel tool though. Thanks for all the target deals

At least two Targets I went to tonight have all or most of these items - at FULL price! And they still have the Black&Decker drills for $29.99. I looked for those tents, and either they have different models, or else NOT on clearance. Oh, ,well, guess it's easy for me to resist..

These go for $2.44 in the Target I shop, they also have some flashlight packs for $2.44. I got a couple.

theshamu, it may be that the tents you see are the new ones. Look for the EB backpacking 2 to 3 person tent (tent is gray and a strange shape), or the EB 2 room tent 4 to 6 person (tent is orange & black), Coleman 2 room tent (17' x 9') says "Breezeway" on the box, Greatland Cascade 2 room tent (looks like 2 dome tents connected by a tunnel), Coleman 2 room tent in a green box, EB screened gazebo and Coleman screened gazebo (cant remember much about these). I know there were others but I can't remember them. Maybe someone else can post further info.
