My buddy has one of these and he is quite pleased with it. If I am not mistaken, it also flashes a pretty bright Blue LED when a signal is received. Also, the mouse lights up blue when the battery is running low I believe.

Anyway, if it is the same product I am thinking of, this is an excellent mouse.

Good find. It's $50 in most stores. Great price for a mini optical cordless mouse. Only wish it had 5 buttons.

That doesn't seem so "mini" ... what's the dimensions of a "regular" mouse?

How long do the batteries last on these wireless optical minis? I want to get something that'll fit in my laptop case... debating between wired or cordless but don't want to have to change batteries every week.

yes, it is the same one. the receiver light blue. and mouse light red normally, light blue when running out battery
it is really small, btw
and works great, no driver needed.
battery included

i've been using it for 3 weeks , havn't changed batteries yet...
typically the battery in a cordless mouse last about 2 to 3 month

Doesn't the reciever stick out funny? I saw this before and was tempted, wished the reciever folded up or something.

This is a pretty neat mouse. I bought a no name minimouse off Ebay a few months ago for $16 total and it is not that great. If I hadn't bought it, I'd buy this one.

I doubt it is as small as the one I bought if it carries two AA batteries and still has the optical sensor in it.

Picture of the size comparison

Just PM'd one at Staples. $23.xx with tax (they added $5 for ship and then did 110%). Has 3" USB extension so can be left attached to notebook.

They also have the 006 model -- it is slightly smaller and uses 2 AAA batteries. The 005 uses AA. The 006 is $29.99.

Don't have a Compusa around? This way you pay a little more because the shipping cost they added. Only when you combine with other stuff and use a coupon save. Otherwise go directly to Compusa.

1) I'd rather give staples money than CompUSA any day
2) You can probably ask staples to call local compusa and check stock, if they have it you shouldn't pay shipping.

My nearest CompUSA is 40 miles. $23.xx is about the same since tax is 6.5%. Cost me $2 more at Staples but I did not drive 80 miles.

Staples saved me $16.00! (at $.20 mile) (LOL)

$.20/mile? What kind of car are YOU driving?!??! Even a '90 linc. town car pulled 9mi/gallon, and here in NYC gas is like $1.55...so thats still less than your 20c mile.

$.20 is a guess. My employer and the IRS allows $.345/mi.

Don't matter anyway -- I am happy with the deal.

Wonder if this mouse has a battery life indicator? I really like that on my Logitech....

Nevermind -- I see that when the batteries get low the led on the scroll wheel lights up. Easy enough!

be careful, do not get the 006 version. 006 version uses a ball instead of optical sensor and is retailed at 29.99 everywhere. 005 version is the one that is mispriced.

Got in on the deal this afternoon.

Thanks!

FYI, it'd probably be wise of you to print out the web page showing the $20 price. It would have been less of a hassle had I brought it with me.
