ABC@Home 1.231M to 5M milestone-- now 0.999M to go

Enigma@Home 0.978M to 5M milestone-- now 0.467M to go

Intelligence Realm 1.373M to 5M milestone-- now 1.292M to go

Primegrid reaches 5M milestone!

Sztaki 0.212M to 1M milestone-- now 0.136M to go

World Community Grid reaches 10M milestone!

YoYo@Home reaches 5M milestone!

The above 7 projects are our targets for May 2009.

Crunch one until the milestone is made then do another.

Let's see how many milestones we can reach.

EDIT: update progress.
5/29 YoYo@Home reached 5M cobblestones! WTG!
5/16 PrimeGrid reached 5M cobblestones! WTG!
5/11 WCG reached 10M cobblestones! WTG!

That is a really nice may-project!
I love it. Easy stats (how many milestones will we pass and when?) and something for everybody!

Very good idea and very nice implementation, Fred!

rabrittain helped me get one quad back up and running. We replaced the mobo. cpu, ram and video card. Still didn't work. Replaced the HD and everything is swell!

We assumed the other box had HD problem because it showed identical symptoms. Wrong! A new HD didn't fix a thing. The video card from the other box fixed it!

I now have 2 cores on ABC@Home, 2 cores on Intelligence Realm, 1 core on AQUA@Home, and 7 cores on Yoyo@Home! (And one secret slot on Quake Catcher.)

Most viruses aren't made for linux so you really don't have to worry. A mix of common sense that you get from windows (don't open stuff you don't know) and being a little careful and you shouldn't have to worry.

I have encountered a strange message when I have both Yoyo and Intelligence Realm running on the same box. Sometimes, the Yoyo app will issue the message: Waiting for memory.

Yes, all 3.9GB is being used!

I have stopped all IR to do Yoyo by itself. If the memory usage is Yoyo, I will add a couple of sticks of RAM to see if it uses all 8GB.

At least on XPSP3, Yoyo is quite well-behaved. Whatcha running it on Rudy, and with which BOINC client?

Linux AMD64. I'm running Yoyo all by itself and it is fine. Apparently, Intelligence Realm has some memory leaks. In fact, this was the first time I have seen the swap file in use.

As soon as Yoyo reaches the next milestone, I will start IR again and try it with 8GB memory. I'll see if it fills that memory.

Hmmm, that may be a Linux problem.
I am running yoyo (Muon-app), WCG (Fight-Aids@home x2) and ABC@home at the same time. None of the processes takes more than 130 MBytes RAM and that has been so for the past 36 hours (that is how long my log goes).
Although yoyo runns different applications and it may be one of the three other ones (OGR, Evolution or ECM) which is a memory hog ...

To help out a bit in Enigma, I'm assisting Fardringle, IJump, SAK and Danzigrules with a Intel I7 920 @ 3,1 MHz.
It processes work units for 2600 - 2700 points per day.

Will see if I can overclock it a bit more.

Good Tip. have just installed them. Will see if the Duo core optimizations will help with a i7 920, because there is no app specially optimized for that proc.

of course they will, the optimizations are based on SSE1/2/3...

If the app doesn't crash, it will run faster than the stock app

It looks like it works. The average time per WU went from ~42-43 minutes to ~30-34 for the hceyz-units. So that's some 10 mins of per WU. This means even more WU's for TA.

The Awgly-units are looking good too. I suspect some improvement of ~15-20 min per WU there.

This is a WU with the i7 920 @ 3.1 GHz.

As you can see it took a little less than 2000 sec of CPU time. This is with the optimized app.

Here are the last time results. If you compare them with the page with earlier results, you'll notice a time improvement of some 600 sec. [BTW: the 5000+ sec WU is from an older computer. }

Indeed weird that an i7 is not turning them out the same as C2Q.

I've looked at the stats of our comps, you and me.

The calc speeds of your C2D is higher:
floating point: you@3384 against me@2997
integer: you@10185 against me@7954

Maybe because you have higher mem bandwidth and more cache. Enigma runs faster when having more and better memory.

I guess I'll have to get my advantage out of the 8 cpu's in that thing.

I think HT is slowing every core down but at the same time producting twice as much results!

If you want to see crunching times, it's easier to compare these links:
