There are numerous databases related to overclocking and how high of an FSB people have achieved. However, I was wondering if maybe we could start a Temperature Database for all those overclocking enthusiasts!

For the organizational purposes of this thread, it'd be helpful if you could list your specs in the following order:

Core 2 Duo Processor: _______
Overclocked to: ____________
IDLE TAT temperature:_______
Orthos LOAD TAT temperature: ____
CPU Cooling Solution Name:___
Voltage: _____

As for myself, I have the current settings:
CPU: e6400 2.13ghz
OC: 3.4ghz
Idle: 54 degrees C
Load: 60-61 degrees C
Cooling: Arctic Freezer 7 Pro
Voltage: 1.312v

You can use Core Temp in place of TAT since they both measure from the same place I think.

Let's get this started. Hopefully, this becomes a helpful thread for any potential overclocked!

Core 2 Duo Processor: E6400
Overclocked to: 3.20GHz
IDLE TAT temperature: 54C
Orthos LOAD TAT temperature:58C
CPU Cooling Solution Name: AC Freezer Pro
VOLTAGE1.320 in bios

CPU and case fans all spin very slowly. I could lower my CPU temps by 5-6C if I wanted to hear my PC. Right now, it's almost silent.

*edit*
I added voltage; that's a very important detail!

You people should us TAT to load the CPU's instead of Othros. Its even better. It stresses the Processor more and can quickly show you whether your O/C is stable or not.

Do you mind providing temps?

I don't run Orthos I am busy having it do F@H on both cores.....

Both of my C2D's run the same specs, except one is 6c cooler, since the case cover is open

Core 2 Duo Processor: E6300
Overclocked to: 3466 ( is stable at 3.5, but once every week or two, it locked up. at 3466 it's been running forever)
IDLE TAT temperature: not sure, I think ~42c allways running
LOAD TAT temperature: 58c
CPU Cooling Solution Name: Big Typhoon
Voltage: 1.45

Core 2 Duo Processor: E6300
Overclocked to: 3400 (Is stable at 3.5, need new power supply, using on the other one)
IDLE TAT temperature: Not sure ~42 ??
LOAD TAT temperature: 51c
CPU Cooling Solution Name: Big Typhoon
Voltage: 1.45

Core 2 Duo Processor: e6400
Overclocked to: 3.2GHz
IDLE TAT temperature:44C
Orthos LOAD TAT temperature: Never used it??
CPU Cooling Solution Name: Tuniq Tower
Voltage: ~1.4 (will check in BIOS when I reboot)

My temps are a little higher than I've seen others have. PLanning on reseating Tuniq soon.

TAT definitely makes the cpu get hotter quicker when compared to Orthos. I'd throw in my numbers but they are kind of boring right now because I'm not overclocking(my ASRock 775Dual is an overclocking weakstick) but when I get my DS3 I will be happy to throw in my numbers.

How quickly can it show that your OC is stable?

Pretty quickly... it maxes out a cpu like no other program but then again that is it's purpose. Right now, I idle around body temp and under load go to the low 50's. I am ready for my new board and I will be very meticulous about my application of the MX-1 goo on my Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro which comes with a ridiculous amount of MX-1 thermal goop when you buy it. It's great stuff and works well, I think it will work better with more carefully applied amounts.

Core 2 Duo Processor: e6600
Overclocked to: 3.3
IDLE TAT temperature:52
Orthos LOAD TAT temperature: 64
TAT Load temperature: low 70's
CPU Cooling Solution Name: zalman 9700
Voltage: 1.4
Ambient room temperature 75 farenheit
Case temp 30 centigrade.

Please list your case temps and ambient temps if possible.

Also, given my voltage, overclock, case and ambient temps, do my cpu temps seem too high.
I would have thought that with the zalman 9700 that my temps would be lower. I reaplied the arctic silver 5 too see if it would help but it has not.
Maybe since my room temp and case temps are pretty warm this is the best the zalman can do.

Try lowering your voltage a little? I'm using the vanilla Zalman 9500 and I get these results:

Core 2 Duo Processor: E6300
Overclocked to: 3.22Ghz (460FSB)
IDLE TAT temperature: 45°C
Orthos LOAD TAT temperature: 56°C
CPU Cooling Solution Name: Zalman 9500
Voltage: 1.325V (stock)

Core 2 Duo Processor: e6300@1.86 GHz
Overclocked to: 2.33 GHz
IDLE TAT temperature: 53-57C (Depending on whether the side cover of the case is open or not)
Orthos LOAD TAT temperature: 63-67 (Ditto as above)
CPU Cooling Solution Name: Stock Intel HSF
Voltage: 1.3125V

I've not run Orthos, but I've run Prime95 and I'm stable at 24 hours.
Where I'm from, India (South India, Chennai, to be precise!) the weather is generally pretty warm (it's supposedly winter now and temps outside are between 30-32C!) and my system runs in a non-airconditioned environment and does not run 24/7. There was also only a couple of degrees difference between stock speeds and OC speeds.

@Roguestar: LOL! I 'm not surprised you're shocked!! I was laughing when I read that people at Wimbledon were fainting at temps that were in the late 20's!! Last night was the coolest so far actually...21C!! During the day its above 30 and an night it dips to somewhere in the mid 20's...This translates to a dip in my CPU temps of about two degrees or so...But I like I posted elsewhere, I'm getting some aftermarket cooling hopefully soon and I'll post an update..

Hahaha, seriously last summer it hit 35°C and the government put out national health warnings! "Get off the streets or you'll die!"
