TDK 100pack $23, no rebates @ target

Carry your lappy around, break open a spindle, load up CDRIdentifier 1.63 and take a look-see.

Seriously ... look for the Fuji-like spindles, and also look for "Made In Japan" as opposed to Taiwan. I've seen TY TDK's @ Target in the past but I'm pretty sure the ones @ my local Target are not TYs right now. Might go take a look later today.

The cds in the picture in the ad are not TY. TY cd's will have the exact same container such as Fuji cds.

Got back from Target.

There were around 10 spindes.

1 was "Hecho in Japan"

9 were "Hecho in Taiwan"

Bought 1 of each.

The Japan ones are of course light blue bottom TY's.

The Taiwan ones are light green CMC Magnetics.

YMMV. I went to the Woodland, CA Target. Yeah I have no idea where that is either.

Well...I only buy them when their are on sale or some type of rebate deal. I never buy them regular priced. But hey, it's good to have some just in case.

Seems like an ice cold deal to me. I refuse to pay any more than .10 a piece for TY's. If they're not TY's than .05 max. Too many good deals out there to do this one. Be creative.

Best Buy has a much better deal this week. 100-pack Fujifilm CD-Rs, which are genuine TY discs, for $9.99 ($27.99-$18) AR plus tax. You can also order them on-line with free shipping.

Yeah, but there is a way to make some money off of Circuit City through a little price matching. Here's the details:

Target features a 30 pack of TDK 80 minute CDRs for $8.00. Circuit City has the same pack pictured, but they want $16.99 for the CDRs. Circuit City has $14.00 in rebates ($10.00 rebate and a $4.00 rebate). Bring in the Target circular to Circuit City and have them price match the Target price. You walk out the door with a 30 pack of CDRs for $8.00 and then wait on your rebates "netting" you a profit of $6.00 on the deal.

It won't work at all CC. I was turn down the PM because of their rebates. I emailed CC and they said they cannot PM for that price cuz their CD-R's would be cheaper than Target after rebates. So depending on the store, it might or might not work.

I have over 1500 blank cds now all from costco. I bought 3 (3 is limit per card holder)$34.99 -$20 rebate, my sister (3), my mom (3), my other sister (3). That ended 6/30/02. Now went to costco on Friday and they have same thing TDK 100pk for $34.99 -$15 rebate. I bought (3) more 100pks. 15 x 100 =1,500. I should seriously take a picture.

Have they come in yet? I'm still waiting for mine...

FYI I hope you didn't use the same Costco card...hehe
